Kind of a kookie teacher. Sometimes it's hard to follow what she's saying in class, but she's really fun and nice. She's super helpful and responds well to students. She leads great discussions.

very open and kind, easy to talk to. the class could have been really awkward but she made it fun and interesting and comfortable. sometimes asserts her opinion as fact, which is annoying.

Comment:
A self-centered feminist. If you are taking feminism study, she might be a good fit. But her literature seminar really made me want to vomit. Who can really stand the cloyingly disgusting Daisy Miller? She is undoubtly responsible but is too into her own provincial world of feminism and intangential details.

A very nice, very brilliant lady who cares very much for her students. That said, her class is no walk in the park. Good at stimulating discussion, but keeping up with readings is important. Still, if you want to improve your writing or are just interested in a good/engaging/informative writing class, she's a great professor.

Very nice professor, very amenable to student needs and understanding of stressful college students' lives. More creative writing assignments were a nice change BUT they didn't help my academic writing improve.

She's the best teacher I've ever had. Her class completely changed how I think. She's not an easy grader, but if you contribute to discussion and put effort into papers, you'll be fine.

Awesome class. Her expectations rise with each paper, as should be the case, but never become too high. I learned a lot about my own style from this class, and feel much more confident in writing "formal" papers now.
