Jochims is a good teacher if you can handle amount of work he gives. I would not recommend this class if you have a large workload. He is also very strict about deadlines, cellphones, and absences. But as long as you are careful, he is a good teacher.

Great teacher! Has you do a lot of work so be prepared to have a lot of homework. You will walk away with actual knowledge. Fair grader, makes assignments clear, works with students if they're having issues. Really one of the best teachers that LSSC has to offer. But, if you're lazy or don't care you will fail.

He is a good teacher but makes things way harder than they need to be. This class was supposed to be a foundations class but I had more homework in this class than ANY class Ive ever taken and this is my last semester before I graduate Ifind myself stressing over all the homework. And he never lets class out early not even a minute. not recommended

Overall good teacher. You learn a lot. He's actually one of those professors that cares about you learning. Gives a lot of work, so be prepared for many essays. He's got a sense of humor. Obsesssed with cats.

The first day of class he will try to scare by seeming mean, but as the class progresses he lightens up. He is very strict on rules so just follow his rules and you will be fine. Overall you will learn a lot from him if you pay attention, take careful notes, and follow his rules.

Great guy, great professor. He runs the class strict as far as cell phones, attendance, etc. But he tries to keep the class room environment loose and entertaining. It was more work than I would have liked, but that's ok.

Hard grader, very meticulous, but good teacher. His missing finger is distracting, though. LOTS of homework, and he expects you to do it perfect. If you want a hard class, take him. He is funny, and tries to make things interesting. Be ready to do MANY papers, and devote a lot of time to this class. It wont be easy, but you will learn something.

The first day I attended this class I felt a cloud of impending doom. It was pretty hard, but I learned alot. He kept the class interesting, and was really funny. I suggest you take this course unless you're not willing to work hard for your grade, you're just bad at writing,you're working,you procrastinate, or taking more than one other class.

The class is not very hard but it is extremely time consuming. DO NOT PROCRASTINATE IN THIS CLASS! he is strict dont text/sleep/or talk out of line or he'll tell you to leave. take notes on everything he says and writes and do the career portfolio ahead of time. hes a little strange but tolerable. overall this class is okay, i dont recommend it.

Run away from this one. He's arrogant and annoying. This guy treats his students like children. He thinks his class is the only one. He's harsh and likes the sound of his own voice. He starts out threatening people not to fall asleep in 1.5hr class. I want my class to be interesting and interactive, not so boring that we fall asleep.

This teacher is obsessed with cats!! It is kinda weird! He is rather funny though, keeps class interesting. He is very hard, esp. in the summer. Don?t take him in a A or B term, possibly a AE term. He is very clear in what he wants, and posts smaple assignments online. Very harsh, but fair, in his grading. He likes giving out Cs.

I have Mr. Jochims right now and I can tell this is going to be one of the hardest classes I take. Hes nice, but he kind of creeps me out too. I'm surprised only one other person mentioned how obsessed he is with cats! Its weird. The summer class is fast, and difficult. I would suggest taking him in a reg. semester so you have more time.

Sorry, didn't see that my last comment was cut off. Anyways, we did the big essay two weeks before the final exam and got it a week after the exam. Still hasn't given us the final exam scores and the cause and effect essay that we did a week before the final. DO NOT GO TO THIS TEACHER!! HE IS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!

JOCHIMS IS AWESOME!! He is sooo funny! His quizzes can be kind of difficult, and you have to know a lot of stuff verbatim..but other than that he is great! The projects he has you do are not that strenuous, and you really do learn from his lectures. He talks about dead cats a lot, though..he's an oddball. He's a great professor though! :)
