Bear is OK for the most part. He is not very clear at times, and he can even get himself confused, but if you ask he will sure do his very best to help you out. His syllabus and course outline is clear and to the point. He does take attendance, which sucks, but at least you get the points if you show up.

Dr. Bear certainly knows his stuff, he just has a hard time passing that down to the students. You MUST read your book thoroughly before coming to class or you WILL be lost. He does confuse the class and sometimes himself when talking. He uses cursive so his notes on the board are hard to read. ATTEND CLASS, DO HOMEWORK, ASK QUESTIONS!

Sweet person but is very confusing. He will often say the wrong word. He may mean "atoms" but says "moles" and he leaves out a lot of details in his lectures. Be good at teaching yourself or go to campus tutors 6 hours a week or you probably won't make an A. He was nice in the end and curved my grade up a letter based on attendance and hw grades.

Very confusing with his speech, he rambles and you'll find yourself saying "what?" more times than you'll be understanding. No, I'm not exaggerating. He'll be explaining a concept and mid-sentence start stuttering then start a whole new sentence barely related to his incomplete one. You will end up teaching yourself! Oh and he takes attendance.

Bear is super nice & so hilarious!!! He's very intelligent but he's getting pretty old so it's hard to hear him in a huge auditorium with no microphone. Everyone in my class hated him but as long as you take the initiative to go to tutoring or to teach yourself, you'll be fine in his class. But if you suck at chem, make sure to steer clear of bear.

Attendance is mandatory, he takes attendances everyday. Tests are very similar to the homework so study the hw!!! Boring lectures, confuses himself while teaching class. Study the hw for the tests and you will be fine.

Sometimes it is hard to listen to what he is saying since he tends to speak quietly. If you ask him questions in class he answers them. You have to do a lot of reviewing on your own to pass the test. Overall the class is super easy since it's everything we did in high school. If you do work you pass if you're lazy then don't expect much...

He tried to help but he speaks to softly. Confused himself a lot, but he was a very nice professor. Don't take him if it's a mandatory class for you. You will have to teach yourself. His lectures are directly from the book.

He doesn't answer e-mails, and when I went to his office to ask questions he makes things more difficult. You really have to teach yourself in this class. He gives daily pop quizzes, but most of the time I had no idea what the answers were because I couldn't follow him in class.

This is the only class in my college career that I struggled with. I am not a fan of Chemistry so I knew it would not be easy but taking this professor made it worst. This class was a NIGHTMARE. Showing up to class is necessary for attendance but you will not learn anything. I can not stress enough how much I HATED this class.

He's a great guy but not all that great of a teacher. He gets confused a lot which makes the material much more difficult (utilize Youtube and Khan Academy). Its a pretty easy class as long as you make sure and learn the material. Go to class bc he gives pop quizzes and takes attendance which will help your grade in the end. Tests just like hwk!

Do not take this teacher. Taking him was my first mistake starting this school year. He stumbles, barely knows what he is talking about (let alone what is on the test). Also the test are very funny because they are not multiple choice, and you have to enter your answer in a certain type of way. DO NOT TAKE HIM. AVOID AT ALL COST

He was very hard to understand. Often got confused with what he was saying, and when corrected he would laugh and say. "Oh yea." Fortunately he is willing to speak with you about your grade and how you could possibly raise it. Mostly had to work with other students to learn material.

Very unclear in his lectures. I felt like I just showed up to class for the attendance grade, which you fail with out, and had to teach myself all the material on the side. He goes off on tangents and its very hard to stay alert in this class. Take someone else!

Easy to get an A. Very generous in giving extra credits. He follows the syllabus and gives practice tests before the actual tests. Good teacher, he is focus on his subject material and does motivate student to come to class.

You can get a lot of points by just attending the class, passing the classroom quiz and the online homework quiz. He follows the syllabus and is focus on what he is teaching. Very helpful in giving practice tests prior to the actual test.

Considering my rates, I guarantee you that if you decide to take his class, whether online or in person, he is of no help. If you need assistance, he doesn't explain problems with clarity. He brushes off on topics and he gives quizzes alsmot every class. Paying attention in his class if a task itself. He teaches in a monotonous tone, off topic. NO!
