Really nice dude, but do not take him, his notes are all computer generated and uses power point presentations to teach math, extremely hard to learn!, uses a laser pointer to teach math and does not go over homework, insistes that he doesnt have time, again nice guy but learning from him is a 30% chance, worrd of advice; dont take him

Class is doable if you come to class regularly and take good notes. This is not your class if you plan to sleep all semester. Teacher tries to make class interesting and tries to make it as easy as possible. If you have to take math 160, take him. The best math teacher on campus.

He's a really nice guy..tries to be funny with his old jokes but...it's sad. He's really easy and fair though. He's a good teacher and the exams are basically same as the homework.

Professor Boerger is definitely fair. I will give him that. He gives the students a lot of chances to turn in extra credit and homework in late. BUT!!!, this is only because 80% of the class is failing due to the fact that he is so hard. The material that he expects you to know within one semester is impossible. He goes VERY in depth and his lectur

He is a very funny and friendly professor. He lectures from PowerPoint, so keep that in mind if you are planning on taking his class. Do your homework, ask him questions, and you will do fine in his class. He gives out lots of Mathematica extra credit opportunities.

He is nice ! I'm an international students and he knows that. He usually uses lots of easy common words to make me understand.In test, I don't have to follow all of his steps. He grades very easily, I got A for all my papers. I liked him ! I may take another class of him.

Professor Boerger REALLY knows his math. His only problem is how he presents the material. He uses a computor to present the material on a projector. He loves to talk concept, and leaves the algebra up to you. The best thing is he grades supremely easy on tests and gives lots of extra credit.

If you are having a hard time in math take this guy! he is extremely helpful very flexible and understanding if you study hard and try your best its a guarantee pass! Best math teacher ive taken by far.Test are multiple choice 5 point hw extra credit and he drops the lowest test.

Comment:

The measure of this teacher is his ability to reach varying students from multifarious majors. As an English literature major I have had utter failure in the past with regard to Algebra two. Finally passing this class I am pleased. All I received from Prof. Boerger is a great instructor who legitimately cares about his career and the students.

Comment:

Pretty easy Calculus Class. He is really funny and quirky and keeps the class entertained. Gives out mathematica labs(extra credit): they're easy, do them, easy points. Tests aren't bad, offers lots of extra credit for test(5-8 points). Final is multiple choice. One take home test. Find people to work with. Makes class more fun. Highly recommended.

Excellent instrutor! He clearly defines the subject matter. Very helpful. Covers alot of material in a short time so you have to keep up with the homework. Averages the lowest test score with the final test score (if the final is higher). He also gives some extra credit for homework.

Comment:

This teacher teaches out of the book. All his examples are from the book. If you do not understand it from the homework you are screwed. He never does any type of study guide or review except for the stuff in the book. He does drop your lowest grade though and homework is extra credit adding 5% to each test if you do it. Saw lots of kids struggle.
