Comment:

He's the best professor I've ever had. He cares about his students, and he teaches the material extremely well. He gives extra credit, and moves his grading scale down to ensure maximum pass rate. It's not an easy course by any means, but if you try hard enough, Esteb makes sure you will pass. He ideally wants most of his students to have A/B's

Comment:

I don't have near enough characters to explain how great Dr. Esteb is. His class was definitely challenging, but he does all he can to help you succeed. Incredibly nice and sacrifices his own personal time to help you find success. Don't expect an easy A by any means, but I would HIGHLY recommend taking him if you actually want to learn.

Esteb has been my absolute favorite professor. He is definitely one of the harder Ochem profs, but in my opinion he is the best. If you follow his advice and put in the time you can get a good grade. He really does want his students to succeed. Plus he is a fun guy in lab. Lab is fairly easy with him.

Comment:

One thing I know for sure is that Dr. Esteb is the best Organic Chemistry professor you can get. Your understanding for organic chemistry will be better than all other students on campus (great if you want to take the MCAT). He is in no way an "easy" professor, he writes the hardest tests but hes also the hardest teacher. P.S. DO WELL ON EXAM #1

Esteb is honestly the only reason I made it through ochem. He genuinely cares about his students and is very passionate about the class! His class is definitely the toughest, but he is always available to help and stays up the night before a big test to answer last minute questions. He also cracks jokes and class and is very entertaining!

Dr. Esteb is your best choice for Organic Chemistry. He is a great guy and a great teacher who is very accessible outside of class. Fair grading scale that represents the effort you put in. Extremely hard subject but Esteb makes it manageable. One of my very favorite professors ever. Take Esteb, you will make it through a very tough class.

Organic chemistry is a very hard subject. Dr. Esteb understands that, so he does everything he can to help his students. He is extremely helpful. He essentially holds two review sessions before each exam and is always available during office hours. If you work hard enough, you can get the grade you want.

Dr. Esteb is a wonderful professor. He wants all of his students to succeed and is truly a great guy. The class is VERY difficult; however, he is a fair grader and is a great resource. He is always willing to answer questions and meet in office hours. I would recommend Dr. Esteb to anyone who is going to take organic.

Comment:

Quite possibly one of the most caring professors at Butler, if not anywhere. I've never seen a professor truly want every student to succeed. He was an amazing professor who taught the content well and made sure every student understood. He was also super fun. I wouldn't want to take organic with anyone else, and an A is very achievable.

Comment:

The fact that Esteb does ResCo rounds saved my grade. His lectures are clear and pretty well organized. The tests are fairly difficult and he grades tough, but will curve a test occasionally. The course was hard, but Esteb is a great teacher and resource to succeed in organic.

Organic is not easy, and trust me with Esteb you definitely have to work for it. There were a few points in the semester I wasnt sure if I was going to pass, but he is one of the most helpful professors at Butler, and if you need a little bump at the end of the semester he is there for you!!

Comment:

Dr. Esteb is the best organic professor at Butler and probably anywhere. Yes, he is the hardest but you will learn the most and really know the material. It's easy to fall behind so you have to keep up with notes and always be doing practice problems. Overall, best class and professor I've had. He went above and beyond to help me with questions!

Esteb is the most friendly guy you will ever meet. i often found my times talking with him passing by his office or talking basketball with him at a game just for the hell of it. HARD SUBJECT but he really does make it much easier compared to others. He does the hard problems in class to prepare you and does a great job. Had an A up til final. Best
