Comment:

Took class attendance and does not collect homework. That's fine but your overall grade can't just be based on two in class exams! That's a lot of pressure. We didn't have any grade until the mid term. And the final was worth 50% of your total grade!! Not very effective at teaching the basics either, pretty disorganized.

Comment:

Very easy to understand. Did not make tests difficult. Pretty much straightforward. Homework was optional. Would definitely take again if opportunity presents itself.

Comment:

Horrible experience. Prof Hardy is an old school-style professor who gives sloppy, unorganized exams (hand-written). He does not give ANY partial credit on exams, and your final grade is based off 3 midterms and a final. No other grades taken into consideration. Best way to pass his class is to learn the material on your own and do the exercises.

This class is not easy, but if you do ALL of the homework he assigns, you will get a good grade. He doesn't collect his hw, but do it! His tests come from it. I totally recommend him, but you can't slack off at all.

Class was difficult. He was very willing to help you if you needed it. But really if you get a study group together ahead of time the class (and you will see) will be muuuuch easier. Oh, and dont let his age fool you. He's goes through material pretty fast. His reviews=crap...Do the homework so you know what to ask.

Great teacher. Follows the book pretty well, but does lots of board examples and has a lot of his own notes on the material. Never reads out of the book directly and involves students a lot. Conveys information well. Class is required with a roll sheet that gets passed around; tests aren't hard if you do the work and understand the material.

His lectures are quite boring but I'm sure you will do well in this class if you pay attention. I sure didn't. I dozed off a lot and ended up making a D in the class. However, outside of class, he is a very nice person and fun to hang around with. I have heard that he is jolly, likes cars (and his alcohol).

I loved this class. It was the easiest 4000 level math course I have ever taken and Dr. Hardy was one of the best teachers I have ever taken a course with. Great teacher, great course.

One of my favorite teachers so far. His lectures are very clear, but you have to pay attention. He sets up Friday review sessions where you can go and just ask a bunch of questions. (3330)The tests are easy if you do the homework and review sheet. (4383)The tests are fair if you've kept up.
