Clear criteria. Everything is organized and posted on Blackboard. 5 homeworks, 5 projects (just HW on MATLAB), 3 tests, one final. Gives reviews that reflect the tests. I personally did better learning from home, but that's because I need time while I take notes. There's a lot to cover, and that's not his fault. Class structure is a dream, though.

For all those who are looking to take an elective for a math minor, this course is a great choice. Dr. He is great at slowing down the lecture to better explain material. This class is difficult and is very much theory based, but is very easy to get an A in.

Took him for Math 2331 during the Summer. He's super high energy and his personality really makes you want to learn the subject. Great teacher.

This was the most difficult and demanding class I have ever taken at UH. That being said, Dr. He is very understanding and truly a brilliant professor. Grading was super lenient as long as you tried to make an effort. Lots of bonus points too. Hint: Show up to class! Take-home midterms based on HW problems. Final based on midterms and HW.

One of my favorites professors at UH. Truly cares about his students. Would take him again if given the choice. People complain about everything, accent not bad. Again I really like this instructor . Please keep in mind that levels of math courses change so(sophomore--senior etc) ,so grading is different.

I dont know why a couple of student graded him bad in here. I think he is okay. He is nice and ready to help students. Yes, he has accent but his lectures is really good! he also do a lot of practice problems to keep you on the right track. You will know what you need to study for the exams! Take some Engr course and you can compare! He is amazing

He was very good at explaining the theory and then giving solutions to examples. Quizzes and exams had reviews that were basically the same as the test material.

Dr. He was an okay professor. His accent made it hard to understand him, but his lecture slides were helpful. Homework can be challenging. Gives a review before each in class quiz. Attend the review session since his quizzes are based on the review and the exam is based on the quizzes and homework. The final was basically test1+test2 with homework.

Dr. He was an average professor. He had a pretty thick accent which made him difficult to understand sometimes, and lectures weren't all that useful anyway except for the review before quizzes. The way he has the class designed though, with sample quizzes given before each quiz and the tests made up of quiz questions makes the class fairly easy.

Great prof for ODE. Goes through many problems during class while also taking time to explain concepts. The only thing people complain about is his accent, which is very thick yes, but this is a mainstream problem to run into as far as math profs go. He is still super helpful, and gives lots of practice for you understand the material and do well.

PDE. Brilliant professor. Derives everything slowly and neatly. Provides physics and engineering examples from a math perspective. Reviews as much as he feels necessary for the class to get it before going to the next subject. Provides excellent sample tests. Has a bit of an accent, though, but the class is worth it. 100x better than Walker.

Took him for ODE. He's not that bad. He does have a very thick accent, but where else are you going to find a professor who spoon feeds you the information. J.He has slides(notes), homework (grade boosters), practice tests (which are almost exactly like the regular exams), and he is very helpful as long as you are really making an effort.

I love this guy. He does have an accent, but most math/science profs do.. HE broke the material down on slides and made ODE easy to understand. He gives reviews for the test, which sometimes are almost identical with some stuff switched around. I liked him so much that I enrolled to take PDE from him next fall.
