He is all over the place with his teaching. He is very good at math and knows what he is doing but not a good teacher. His practice tests don't relate to what is on the test.

He doesn't stand out as an amazing teacher, but he can explain calculus pretty well. He assigns homework every day but doesn't collect it. I still recommend doing the homework he assigns because the same types of problems show up on the tests and tests are the only grades.

Mr. Jenkins is personally one of my favorite teachers at Coastal. His class is test heavy, but he always gives clear instructions on the problems to expect for each test. If you're struggling, he will take time out of his lecture to further explain the concept until you fully understand it. Would definitely recommend for MAT 152.

Mr. Jenkins is very nice but the subject is hard. The grade consists of 4 tests, a group project, and homework. He is laid back on homework and the project is overall easy. If you get a low score on a test, stop by his office and he will most likely give you some points. He is a little scatterbrained but also very funny and nice.

Hes extremely hard to understand. If given the option, take the 50 minute classes. The way he teaches is very confusing and most times you come out of the class more confused than before. The homework he assigns is extremely difficult; they're about 5 times harder than the actual test. Study guide will help you pass the test.

Class takes effort and attention, but if you can give that, Mr. Jenkins will go out of his way to make sure you understand. He is incredibly smart, and sometimes gets ahead of himself, but it is easy to see that he really loves math, and is eager to help you understand. I have enjoyed few classes as much as MAT152 with Mr. Jenkins.

I took his Business Calc course and I'm sorry but he is not good teaching this subject! He is very scattered brained and he also looses track of what he's teaching easily. Also he makes a lot of mistakes and doesn't catch them till the end of a problem. Yes he will help you outside of class but he is not clear what he is talking about.

I thought he was marvelous. Just took him in the Fall of 2012 and made an A in his class. This is coming from a student who is laughably TERRIBLE in math. But Jenkins was wonderful, he explained things well and was more than reasonable with how he graded his assignments. (Almost a little too lenient) I'd definitely recommend him.

I had him a couple months ago and thought he was a very nice man but was very scattered in his teaching he would talk in circles and would many times make mistakes and go through a whole problem to find he was wrong he always pushed back our due dates which was nice but frustrating when you bend over backwards to complete an assignment

Extremely logical teacher. Will do examples and explain things in a clear cut manner. If logic speaks to you, he is the only math teacher for you. If you need a lot of extra explaining, and for things to be spelled out in extra extra great detail, he just won't work for you. If you enjoy a fast paced class, he's great.

Before I took Math 70 I hated math. However, I read all the material in the book and the cd and the math skills pamplet since I had been out of school for 10 years. You will do great. Do your work, show up on time, and tell him when he is wrong.

He is a great guy, loves to teach, unfortunately his lectures can be a bit boring, and he tends to make a lot of mistakes while teaching. He is really cool though, always quick to help out students.

Mr. Jenkins is nice and will try to be as helpful as possible however he is extreamly unprepared and disorganized. He also likes to make excuses for why he is unprepered.

This guy is hilarious and is interesting to observe when teaching. He's very nice, but you have to do the homework he assigns because he does grade them. Kind of a pushover. Minimum IQ: ~105. Personality: conscientiousness. You can't get behind because his teaching approach is very libertarian, meaning you either sink or swim on your own accord.

He is a very nice guy, but when it comes to teaching a class Calculus he always seemed unprepared. His way of teaching is just doing examples. He should explain more before jumping into example. If you go to him after class he is very helpful. He is just not good at explaining problems to groups of people.

Homework! Homework! Homework! Make sure that you have time to do his homework EVERY DAY! He doesn't check it either, so you feel as though your efforts aren't appreciated. I like his personality and you have to love the tennis shoes! They go great with his ties!
