I took his Physics class and Programming class in 2010. He is one of the few professors that I still remember because he gives you a lot of the 'why?' behind the material. He makes learning science interesting, fun, and rewarding.

Took him in the summer twice. I go to a big hyped-up university and he knocks the professors there out of the park. He really cares whether or not you learn and will give you all the help you need. If you can't handle Physics with professor Klages, you shouldn't be in college

Prof Klages is nice man. However, his teaching method is very loose. His lectures are mostly examples, which are often confusing. His answers to questions are vague or confusing. As someone who struggles with physics, the class was very difficult.

Please listen to this man- He will never touch a textbook, but he can go from basic physics to quantum mechanics without breaking a sweat. I love Klages so much! Even though his labs aren't the best, I'll never have a professor of the same caliber. He is always around and always keeping an eye on his students. I'll never have a prof like him again!

Professor Klages is hilarious, being in class was so much fun, and educational. He teaches you the concepts behind the material, but never does problems in class. He expects you to do them on your own with the optional homework problems, which makes the exams awful-- you'll think you get it but be blindsided. He's a pretty relaxed grader though.

I love Prof. Klages. He doesn't teach you to solve problems much. He clearly enjoys talking about concepts more. But. He will be there for you if you come with questions. He will stay past his time to help you finish your problems. He will answer all your dumb questions. He makes physics interesting, and he is a great person.

Cons: must read book, must do all HW. As far as physics problems go, Klages gives you bare minimum in class, just enough for you to not get lost in textbook, which you will have to read. Pros: hilarious, really smart, there for you all the time. You can't fail tests, and finals score replaces all grades if better. If you did all HW you cant fail.

Tests are impossible because he doesn't give you any equations. On the final we had to memorize 30+ equations. The only consolation is that if your grade on the final is higher than your previous average, that becomes your final grade

The guy is really smart but he is totally a clown. He is an old school teacher who doesn't care about his students anymore and he's just waiting to get retired. His exams are tough, however the lowest grade he'll give you is a 65. He explains extremely fast as you were an expert and doesn't care you you fail. Very smart and nice but just avoid him

Funny, even most ppl dont laugh at his jokes, but he does not care. all tests and quizzes start at 65 as long as you show up and put something on the papers. Lectures are long and boring. He teaches pretty fast, I get lost often. But I still passed with a C. He's the only professor teaching Physics 2 next semester, so god helps me

Prof. Klages is one of people I've ever met. However the class is tough. Overall, its impossible to get lower than a C in his class because he starts you at a 65 for trying to answer the test questions and lets you use your hw for one of his tests. All of his tests are based on hw, so whatever you do, do the hw! Try to find the solutions manual!

Professor Klages was the sole reason I enjoyed physics on the level that I did. He kept my interest throughout all of Physics 1 and 2. Typically, one may not retain a lecture's premiss; however, Klages was engaging on his own with wit and confidence in his material. He is a truly great man. I highly recommend him, he is worth every penny.

Professor Klages is a smart, kind, and amazing teacher. I enjoyed his lectures and found myself inspired to learn beyond what the course taught. You are not expected to know beyond what is reasonable. He will keep you on your toes, but that is to be expected. Excellent Professor!!!!

Worst professor I have ever had. He is funny and all but the work load is way too much. He isn't fair when it comes to My Math Lab, I suggest not using him if you were going to take a hybrid class.

Professor Klages is the most influential person in my life regarding my education. He furthered my love of math and physics. He is always there to help. often times we would ask him things unrelated to lecture after class and he readily threw proofs on the board to answer our questions without having to reference anything. He is truly a great man.

I think he was a great professor. I took him for Physics 1 Lecture and Lab. i received a B in Lecture and an A in lab. He is very fair! This is his 40th year teaching at CCM therefore he does not teach straight out of the book. Its all in his head

Write everything down he says in class and it will make sense later. Then do all the homework. Good teacher, knows his material very well. Definitely a challenge however. Very fair grader.

Over-challenges to the point of discouragement. I feel he made it difficult to learn the basics, let alone the more challenging concepts. You won't study much for the final, because he consistently gives a MASSIVE take home assignment just days before the final exam! Don't try to give him feedback in person. He won't take it well!

Klages is like a gunman with lots of ammunition but no precision. His knowledge is impressive, but he presents it in a disorganized fashion. His notes often lack a subject/chapter heading. He'll draw a detailed diagram on the board that you can't copy unless you're 5 feet away. He assigns the more difficult HW problems, but only does a select few.
