Everyone is saying how tough of a grader Lusk is, but he is getting you prepared for University. He knows what he wants in his papers, and you have to really participate and ask questions to get an A. He gives excellent feedback and is very easy to talk to. I passed with an A, and I followed all of these steps. Hes a great person and prof.

Mr. Lusk may seem like a tough grader, but you have to talk to him and let him know you want to get better if you want to improve your grade. I found his class very fun, useful, and entertaining! Im definitely going to miss his class. If youre willing to work hard and strive to do better, you will be successful in Lusks course.

Mr. Lusk is a tough grader, but he did offer an optional extra credit essay at the beginning of the semester. Everyone gets points if they did it, and how many points you got was determined by how well it was written. It also gives you a feel on how he grades. He makes you work for your grade, which at first was annoying but it was helpful.

Professor Lusk as an online instructor was a nightmare. I normally get A's in all my classes and I just barely got a C. His instructions are often confusing and get ready to take timed quizzes with questions that are very detailed. I started the course with a full class and over time half of the class dropped out. Also, get ready to write a lot!

He grades papers pretty hard, but it shouldn't be a reason to not take his class. He's a great teacher and we got into plenty of interesting conversations in class. Also, you'll never mess up your comma usage again after this class.

Took his Mythology Course online. Tons of homework and unclear grading criteria. I hear he is an excellent on-campus professor, but online I suggest you steer clear.

Worst English class I have ever taken! I am an all A student and managed to somehow get B in this class. Every essay I did he would say it was very good but then give me a B. I would ask lots of questions and even stay after class to get help. However, this did not matter toward my grade. 10/10 do not recommend him.

It was very clear that Professor Lusk had a very difficult time navigating WebStudy. He oftentimes would forget to post instructions in online assignments and essays. Quizzes are definitely easier if you read and understand the readings by book assigned for the week.

Wanting to go into english as my major was what I had my mind set on until I took his class. We spent the first half of the semester talking about his views on the world and how we are to either agree or disagree with him. If you are someone who is opposed to one of his views then he will mark you down on every assignment. Suck up if you want an A

This guy is the toughest grader I have ever encountered in my entire life. My MLA formatting on my works cited page was slightly off. A coma instead of a period. This was the only thing he marked wrong on my paper. I was given a c+ on the paper. This was the trend for other students too. I felt like I was taking a masters course.

My best friend and I decided to take Mr. Lusk because we had him in our journalism class. He was pretty picky in there but holy cow is his Eng101 class way different. This guy must go through 5 red pens per student for grading. Everyone in the class was frustrated and this guy acted like we all had a phd in english. Never been so discouraged ever.

This is by far the worst professor I have ever had. Like the person below me said, He does talk in riddles. He also makes you post on the forum. He will never give you your actual grade until the semester is over. You think you are doing good because you get no feedback and boom, C-. I am going to take someone else for ENG102.

I took Mythology as an elective. It was the hardest class I have ever taken. The instructions were not clear and the professor grades harshly. Good luck asking for help. I feel like he talks in riddles. I would avoid this class if you dislike writing papers and mandatory forum posts. The books are a must.

Tough grader is an understatement. Extremely cryptic in what he looks for in assignments. Assigns so much work for one week it's hard to keep up. Maybe if you LOVE English, he might be the teacher for you, but he's still HARD. Material is hard to comprehend, and he offers no review or explanations. I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy. :(

I personally did not like this instructor. Opinions aside, this is what you need to know: He is an extremely hard grader! I also found him very hard to communicate with. Whenever I asked about my grade he would look at the grade book and literally guess. I would not recommend him, unless you really want to become a better writer. Very hard class!

I really enjoyed his class. Mr. Lusk has a great personality, however his syllabus was a little hard to comprehend and he is a very tough grader. With a lot of hard work I did make it out of the class with an -A.
