Had him for just 2 class periods and i had to drop him. I couldnt take his unprofessional demeanor. He came to both classes wearing what looked like the same jeans and shirt both days. Wanted to learn something and felt like I would never in his class. By the way he's also at Luzerne County Community College.

Incredible professor, Lackawanna's best in my opinion. His teaching style is not necessarily for everyone (very lecture heavy), but he is always willing to go back and explain if you get lost in the material. He's a brilliant man and expects high quality work, which can be intimidating to some students, but taking his class is very rewarding. 9/10

Smart guy. Extremely hard to stay focused take notes on everything not just what he writes on the board. Test are very difficult have to write essays for tue test. Requires long final papers. If you are willing to do the work you will learn a lot from him but its not easy.

If you read the text, and supplements. Write rough drafts. He is not as hard as others make him out to be. He is also an adjunct at The U. So if you want to get the level of education you will there for the price of Lackawanna it's a win win. I recommend anybody wanting to go on to a 4 year take him and Dr Staples.

Professor Rettura is not for everyone. If you're not into lectures, and you aren't willing to devote some time each night to read and reread his readings and review your notes, don't take his class. That said, if you're driven, you can get much from him. He's brilliant and is always willing to help out his students. I'd take another of his classes.

I had Rettura for phl fine arts and ethics. What I learned to be most important is to red your text. Read it before class, so when you go to class and he explains it you have a better understanding...BUT READ THE TEXT!!!! if you sleep in his class and you read the chapters he tells you to read for the test you will pass.

I'm a good student and I thought it was a difficult class. He gives notes very quickly, although he is willing to go back and go over things. Text book helps, read it. It wasn't entirely boring but it certainly can drag on. Don't get discouraged for the first test, that one's the hardest. Take good notes, read the book on time and show up.

Went into class thinking I was going to have a tough time. He is very willing to help any student. Tests are ehh, you probably won't understand the material. Overall, I would say it turned out better than expected. Just make sure you take notes, show up for class, and DO THE PAPER CORRECTLY!

Need the book. Class doesn't completely make since but its all about literature. Tests are not what you expect so be prepared. He explains random information that doesn't completely make sense within the stories

Not the typical Ethics class I was thinking of. Do the paper and do it right to get a good grade. Tests aren't impossible but deal with his rambling and deal with the class and you should be okay.
