Hamerly is the real deal. Didn't care too much about OM before-hand but he actually makes it very interesting to learn! He uses a lot of real world examples, visuals, data and other things that make the lectures colorful. Hes extremely passionate about what he teaches and it shows. Wish the rest of the business major professors were more like him!

Jim is one of the two top professors in CoBA at CSUSM. Took him for In the Trenches with Entrepreneurs as well as communicated with him a lot during senior exp. He has so much knowledge that he is willing to pass on. He treats you like a professional instead of a student and is very personalbe even though so many people interact with him daily.

He is an incredibly charismatic teacher. Seems to love what he does and makes the class fun. Attendance was not mandatory but I wanted to go, that's how good he is. He makes the material clear and easy to understand. If anyone does not pass his class, they clearly are not trying one bit. Makes me wish I was majoring in his field.

Some professors were born to teach and inspire and that is exactly what Hamerly does. His teaching style is very creative and fun. One of the best classes I ever took.

This class was great. Prof. Hamerly's presentations and teaching style made everything very easy to understand. Pay attention in class, which is easy to do, and you will do just fine. Grade is based entirely on quizzes and a final, so don't skip class. Get the international version of the book and save a lot of money, but you can get by w/o it.

I loved this class. Professor is great. Do all of the homework assigned and show up to all of the lectures because there is h/w and quizzes due on most days. This is an easy A. There were students who failed for not turning in all of their h/w. No negotiations with that. So show up, have fun and get an A!! Beet class ever ;-)

This is the best teacher I have ever had!!! I did not even know what OM was and now I want it to be my major. He is very funny and keeps the material interesting through homemade videos and examples. You learn a lot and have fun doing it...TAKE THIS CLASS

Easily the coolest professor I have ever had. I wanted to change majors just to take him again. This is one class I didnt like to miss. He is funny and entertaining to to the point you actually want to learn the material. I learned alot in this course.

It's a shame this is a 125-person class because Hamerly is a very interesting and knowledgeable guy if you get him in a smaller setting. It's tough to interact with a class that big, though...I like his style, he tries to mix things up with videos and demos to keep students interested. You will use this when you start working, so pay attention!

Awesome teacher, thats about all I need to say. I wasn't interested in the class before hand, but now I am. Hammertime Productions and discussions about Wal-Mart make the class even better. He really should be paid by Wal-Mart.

Treats his students like adults (unlike some teachers). Realizes what's important and teaches it. Leaves all the other fluff alone. Also goes out of his way to make sure you get your moneys worth. You learn a lot while being entertained. VERY good instructor with real life experience.

Jim is the best! I love having quizzes and no stressful midterm. Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you show up, u might not have the read the book. lol! and jim, since I know u r reading this...if u want more feedback, maybe an anonymous discussion forum(for class feedback) on webct would work, since we slacked on the 2 min journals in class.

Really, really good. Uses examples from real-life that are interesting and help make the application stick. Understand's the student's view, even though a teacher. I'm not interested in the subject but he's made it interesting and worthwhile.
