Easiest class EVER! All online, just do the tests and the work assignments and you're good. Took 2 classes in 1 semester and finished both within 2 weeks. It's VERY easy to get over 100% in the class, because early=30% grade bonus. Take if you want to learn something, have fun, and get units. :)

I'd take his other classes in a minute. He's no condescending at all - he just tells you how it is straight up. Do the work and put effort into it = pass. Ignore it until the last minute and tell him you forgot or another amusing excuse = don't pass. The truth hurts! Speaking of excuses-read his website! The excuses he's received are hysterical.

Pretty easy class (online) as long as you do the work. Keep in mind, the work he assigns is very time consuming, so plan accordingly. He encourages you to finish the course early and replies to e-mails usually during the day.

An interesting and informative class. Class was much more interesting and beneficial than I had expected. Professor was very responsive and professional. I recommend this class. You will find out that you don't know as much as you thought.

Condescending, wouldn't give me credit when I proved that the answer key was wrong. Teaches a computer class yet doesn't know the material himself (Yahoo is not a browser, soundcards ARE built-in to many motherboards, etc). It's EASY stuff, if you don't mind getting an average of 1 Q per quiz wrong because the answer key that he bought is wrong.

Greeat professor ever. I never had a professor answered email that quick. he help us track our homework which encourage us to finish early.I meet him in his office, he is a very very friendly person. Highly recommend to everyone.

Professor Shirley is outstanding! Despite being the Head of the Department,he is friendly, witty, down to earth, and extremely helpful and responsive. I couldn't ask for a better Prof. I most highly recommend him-he is constantly in communication with each of his students and makes you feel that you are extremely important, which is so rare.

Took a few online 1 unit courses. Easy A, lets you go at your own pace. Not exactly 'condecending' as one person puts it, through email at at least- just use a straight forward approach and think before asking a question that has an obvious answer.

I took the class online. The professor was organized, straightforward, flexible and quick with responses. He told you what you had to do to succeed and even followed up with reminders. If students don?t ace his course it?s entirely their fault.
