The professor herself wasn't that bad but this is accounting info systems and we maybe spent 10% of the class on the computer. Everything was done in a paper packet. It's ridiculous, I was hoping to get instruction on how to use excel for accounting or how to use one of the many softwares out there. Oh well, it's easy to pass at least.

Professor Murray is a good choice if you know accounting, The online version of this class is a self learn class and may be difficult for beginners with no experience in accounting. She use voice thread presentation for lectures and maybe difficult for some to follow. Tests are not too hard. Overall an easy A or B if you are into self-studying.

The class isn't that bad but she added a new SUA project that took students weeks to complete. If you do not understand accounting then may the lord help you. Also, every time I asked her a question, she would look at me as if I am stupid. She does offer a lot of extra credit. Tip: work on the SUA project in groups and you will pass no doubt.

Overall the class wasn't too bad in terms of difficulty, but we had a new paper project this semester that took most students about 30 hours on top of the other projects, so if you're reading this don't underestimate the SUA project if she still does it, get started early because it's big. The exams/quizzes are pretty much memorization of slides.

I honestly still do not get accounting but passed with a B. The textbook is online & yes there is a lot of work (online class duh?) but it honestly is not too difficult & I read maybe 2 of the chapters the entire semester. I did not put in crazy effort into this class & yet managed to pass with a good score. She is very helpful if needed & nice!!

I took a class online with Johnna and she was pretty solid. I got confused about a date and she let me turn it in late. She seems to care about you and as long as you make an effort to help yourself, she'll help you.

Easiest UMSL Accounting course yet. Though it is an easy A, you can benefit from the course as much as you want because there is a lot of useful tools to be gained from this course. You learn some great uses for Excel and a lot of important concepts about internal controls. I'm keeping the textbook.

I actually really liked Professor Murray and her class. She expects you to read and understand the material, and the tests reflect that. Know going into her class that your grade will be decided by your tests, I think that they end up being 65% of your grade and there are only 2, plus a take home excel exam. Overall I'd recommend her.

If you take the online section of this course, the only things you really have to work for are the tests. A large number of points are for answering discussion board questions, which I non-sensed my way through and still got full credit. Despite her leniency in grading, the class was still a valuable learning experience.

She knows the material but is often scattered and was rude and condescending a number of times. This is a very easy A if you just do the assigned work. She even uses direct exam questions during the in-class review. Its great if you want an A on your transcript but she doesnt even try to challenge you to learn anything you can use at work.

Lots of multiple choice on the tests but I feel like I learned a lot in her class. She is a bit confusing with some of her teaching but she does know the subject matter. Excel items during the second half of class are tough but will teach you new things.

I found the grading to be confusing, and she seemed to be very scattered brained on assignments that would or would not be completed. Some of the quizzes online were difficult even if you already knew the information before enrolling in this class. The second exam was NOT what I expected, pretty much everyone did worse on the second one.

Really Nice Teacher, helpful, and although you have to be there for the first half of the class it is not as necessary for the second half as long as you understand what is going on. She also will go over the homework in class and sometimes before you even turn it in

not incredibly easy, but grading is more than fair. she's helpful outside of class if you try to talk to her. i never had any issue with her not explaining anything. she would also basically tell you what types of problems are going to be on the exam (and then do them in class), so pay attention and you'll be fine.
