That's the prof to take for 1124! The others like O'lander only teach half of the material that Prof Varghese teaches. The first half of each class he presents the material, then you get a lab assignment. Grading is based solely on the midterm and final. Sometimes he rushes too much and makes mistakes, so stay on top of him and you'll learn a lot!

He is a one of the best professor St. John's ever had. Although the course is not easy, professor Varghese teachs this curse from scratch to a mid-level necessary to find an entry job position on the market. He really cares for the students' progress. If you want to learn, take his class. He also is a good grader.

If you can not get Debello than take this guy, you are guarenteed to get a B. He give two tests, a midterm and final, each 20 percent and the programs are about 60 percent plus he gives lots of hints on what to do. The downside - classes are early.

He goes over eveything about 50 times, if you goto the classes and listen, theres absolutely no way you can get below a B. Test are easy and straight-forward If you find C++ easy then your set.
