Weekly homework, clear syllabus, show up and participate. Chill professor if you don't do anything wrong to get on his bad side. Oral exam at the end of the course is passable with studying and prep. Comment:

115 is a 5 credit class so there's a lot of online work, but your in class grades matter a lot. Need to participate, you get daily grades on them. I took this class already pretty comfortable with Spanish so it wasn't difficult for me, but even those with no experience had no issues in his class; he explains everything fully and makes class fun.

Participation definitely matters, we got specific daily grades depending on how much/little we participated. He seemed to know which topics were difficult and spent a fair amount of time on them. I feel like I have a good grasp on topics I was confused with before. Definitely would recommend.

I had him in my first unit of Spanish so it was a little difficult to understand. However, the way he presented the information made sense. He does focus class a lot on working with other and group projects, and lives by the "C is average you will have to work for a B" motto, but if you do really try, he won't let you fail the class.

Definitely recommend taking this class. Honestly if you just do your work online and pay attention in lecture everything will be easy. If you miss class he does give you the opportunity to go make it up if its an excused absence. His projects are super easy

He is a really nice guy and tries to crack jokes every once in awhile. If he starts to count participation you have to go to class to get an A! Over all most of the test are fairly easy and he tells you everything that will be on the test the day before!

Great teacher with an even better sense of humor. Very clear in his teachings and makes class fun by telling jokes and doing neat little exercises. I actually learned Spanish in his class and can use it if I have to. Class is relatively easy and fun. Highly recommended.

Nice teacher...he always offers to help if you need it. There are a bunch of grades that are worth only a small percentage of your grade, so if you fail something, it won't hurt your final grade. If you study, you will do fine in this class.

He was a very good and helpful teacher. Ask him questions during a test he will tell you the answer pretty much. Cool class and not a lot of assignments. He tries to make jokes; you partner work a lot in class. Overall good teacher to take.

Comment:

Sr. Mireles is the best Spanish teacher at CCU! He doesn't try to make the tests tricky or too hard. We actually learned a lot, played games and did role playing. The atmosphere in the class was laid back and actually fun!
