I can understand y ppl give him a bad rating but I honestly like his teaching. Yes he does go off topic, but I think his lessons r interesting. Of course u need to do ur own studying so I mean idk y people are complaining... if u dont find sci interesting dont take him, you'll be bored, but if you like sci take him hes super nice and knowledgeable

God awful professor. Computer generates test so he himself doesnt even know what were gonna be tested on. On the final he expects you to basically memorize the whole textbook cause he doesnt tell you what youre gonna be tested on. Showing up to class is pointless, youre better off just reading the book and teaching yourself.

funny but gets repetitive Sometimes makes small mistakes when teaching The lectures are almost not related to any questions on the exams Tests are multiple choice but hard to pass He curves the class but the way he does it makes it impossible for everyone in the same class to get an A 2 midterms 1 final exam labs is your grade. no hw collectd

There're 2 tests and final. Tests are conceptual but his lectures focus heavily on formulas so it's super painful studying for tests cuz you have to read the lengthy book by yourself. I wish people would respect him more cuz he's actually super nice and passionate about teaching, tries really hard to make lectures interesting. I feel bad for him.

I haave him for astronomy 1 and he goes off topic alot. His lessons are so useless. Do not take . he doesnt use a powerpoint to teach. You need to read the book by yourself and he doesnt refer to the book in class .

He teaches well but you have to read ahead and ask questions about what you want to understand. Note taking was pointless. The test will not reflect the lectures much. Read the book and ask questions for understanding. Has good learning tricks, not usual way of learning- good for some people.

His lectures and teaching is awful. he tries to teach you his way of thinking rather than the usual way. he goes off topic very often. taking notes is almost impossible because what he says doesn't make sense to what you're trying to learn

Not a professor worth taking. Throughout the semester he would bring up things that were irrelevant to the subject and would constantly repeat the same stories about his wife, childhood, or any other story not relating to astronomy. Barely even gave a solid lecture

I don't understand what he is teaching. He can not organize stuffs in his lecture which makes students always confused. I know we have to self-study and pre-reading before coming to class, but I cannot approach everything. What are the good skills of a professor? Clearly, caring and listening. I am sorry.... He goes on huge rants about things that are not relevant to the course. Get the book & read! That will help you out the most rather than showing up to his lectures. On the plus side of things, he grades on a huge curve so that is very helpful. If you can take this class with someone else do it, if you need to though..... beware.

If your a science major don't take him, you wont learn anything. I went in without reading this and his class was terrible. I passed with a B some how and I swear I didn't learn anything. Save yourself the trouble of stressing don't take physics at elac
