While she is a pretty nice person, she honestly is an awful professor. Lectures are centered around mindless things like TV, vampires, and goths. While happy to help, she never is clear with her expectations, and she never follows up with students like she says she will. Usually everyone is confused on what to do. Nice person, awful professor.

Thought I would like this class at the beginning but it became extremely boring. Requirements weren't ever clear and often changed although she will help with paper topics and research. Big emphasis on reasearch and sources but if you don't know how to write before taking this class, you're screwed! Don't buy the textbooks. Not a likeable class...

She's an okay teacher. Shes very bad on grading papers in a reasonable amount of time. She's not clear AT ALL on paper topics and then marks you down if you don't talk about what she wants you to. Her grading scale is horrible also. I think she should have stuck with being a lawyer and not a teacher.

105 was easy and wasn't as bad as 106. Topics or lack of is a huge problem expected to write 5 papers and never given any form of what to write on. grading is unfair and would avoid her classes.

take cob. anyways, a total waste of my life. she has no skill, no enthusiasm, no ambition for teaching. The class is boring as hell. AVOID by all means. Papers topics are not clarified at all, or not given at all i should say. Save yourself, otherwise u'll regret it for the rest of your college days. Munro, i get shivers just from hearing that name

We have watched movies at least half of the days we have had class; other days, we hear pointless CD lectures. Either way, it's a waste of time, especially for an Honors class. The grading is somewhat easy, however, there is absolutely no direction given for papers unless you ask. Takes at least 2-3 days for an e-mail response as well.

This class is a joke. Every day we either watch a movie or follow her intrapersonal discussion. Before I took this class, I believed that the literary world may be a place for me. Way to rob me of my ambition. Please, if you read this professor munro, do show some interest in your class.

She is such a wonderful, caring person. She means well as a professor but overall her lectures are not thought provoking. The best topic was media effects at the end. The Media Journal book is awful...I thought I was doing awful and had everything bass ackwards but everything turned out okay. Be excited about your writing and you'll do fine.

Prof Munro's class was more difficult than I had expected. It was hard to do well on the papers b/c the topics were very broad, and it was hard to tell what she wanted from you. boring class, but if you do the work and show up you'll do well~just ask a lot of questions before turning in a paper!!

To say she is boring is an understatement. She picks favorites to talk to casually during class. I didn't like her, but she allowed me to turn in work really late, I was absent alot and she still gave me an A. The key to her class is to talk no matter how stupid the subject is.

Very nice lady, has good intentions, but class was very boring and long. Media Journals got very annoying. She was willing to help if you wanted to meet with her personally. Many times class seemed pointless because we just got handouts from google.com. She meant well, and most people got a "B".
