Judy was amazing, and a super fun teacher. Had a lot of funny stories, and her assignments were never too hard and she always gave a ton of time for them, usually a week or so. You know about pretty much every assignment at the beginning of the semester. Going to class is important, and super enjoyable. I would highly recommend.

I LOVE JUDY!! She is an amazing & inspiring woman! She is hilarious, but you have to get to know her sarcastic humor. Participation is everything! That's how you learn. She will give you MANY corrections but it is all constructional. Assignments and "tests" are not hard, you just have to put in the work and pay attention in class to get the content

This is much different than previous ASL classes. She is tough and corrects you all the time, but it's worth it because you will really improve. Don't be afraid, you get used to her and she is actually really funny and nice. Don't miss class though, or you won't know when things are due. Always have a friend in class if you have to miss.

I was terrified of Judy on the first day of class. I was still slightly terrified of Judy on the last day of class. She is sassy, but she knows her stuff and is a great teacher. She will call you out in front of the class and sometimes comes off rude, but it's genuinely helpful and I was never embarrassed or offended. Her stories are hilarious!

Overall this class was fine but would not take it again. Professor Saunders was rude and did not give helpful feedback especially on tests. I will say that my signing improved. She did not give clear criteria and was a super hard grader.

Best ASL teacher ever! Do not be offended when she abrubtly corrects you if you sign something wrong. She is helping you. She loves to see her students improve their signing ability. If you don't sign during class, you shouldn't be taking her class. Tests are expressive skills so you have to sign a story to her for each test. Take ASL from Judy!

She is very intimidating, no doubt and this is not an easy A in any way. Though, if you keep your head in it and really truly want to learn ASL, not S.E.E., Saunders will force it. Just keep in mind she likes to joke around a lot and I hope you don't mind gory stories!

She is a really awesome teacher! At first she was really intimidating, but after I got used to her it was great. She is a hard grader, but if you work hard you will do fine in her class.

I serve in the ASL mission so I understand what she's saying. She might be tough to understand but pay attention, her ASL is really good. She's a tough woman so don't get offend by her personalities, that who she is. The book we are required to read is really boring. Try to be as visual as possible in your tests to get good grades.

She is crazy..but in a good way. She taught well and was the most hilarious teacher I've met. The tests were pretty easy, she kind of was a picky grader, but I learned that she is just trying to teach ASL well. She did teach well. I learned a great deal.

Judy was the best teacher ever, if you understand ASL and use ASL grammar, you will be perfectly fine in the class. She really makes you think. She is the best teacher ever. If you think ASL is the same as English and are looking for easy language credits you will die in this class. She's the BEST!!!

This class was very hard for me. Make sure you attend class and really pay attention. She is very funny, but if you don't get on her good side I think it makes the class harder. I also found it very hard to communicate with her. I wouldn't recommend this class if you want an easy "A", but if you want to learn something I completly recommend her.

You learn a ton in Judys Class. Her tests are very specifica and treats your singing as if you were a deaf person. Take asl from another teacher if you want an easy A, you will still get an A in this class but you will have to practice a lot, as well as attend class.

I loved her class! She was fun and enjoys teaching. Students who try in class and don't talk when we're suppose to be signing do well. I found that I didn't need to stress as long as I came to class and did my best and practiced some. It was the easiest language class I've ever taken (and I've taken quite a few)

I absolutely loved Judy! She is very funny and helpful. I took ASL in high school and learned so much more taking it here from Judy. She takes the time to help you understand what she is signing and she is so much fun. Just pay attention and you'll have a great time. I totally recommend this class to anyone with or without signing experience.

Don't take her class! If she doesn't like how you sign from the first day of class, you'll never get on her good side...then she grades you harder. avoid taking her class at all cost

She is great! we had the best class. There is some busy work but it is not bad at all. Her tests are 100% you signing- she prepares you well for it and gives you a chance to ask a lot of questions to insure that you will do it right. Loved her. If she is teaching you will improve your signing and learn a lot about deaf culture by taking her.

She's very spunky! Way cool. Class consists of 7 online book quizzes, 4 conversation tests, a written mid, and a final, plus pop quizzes and meeting 2 deaf people. It seemed like a lot of work for 101 class. She's a stickler for facial expressions so pick it up quickly. She teases you so get used to it. A really fun class
