Great professor, cares about the students and Geography. Made it fun and had some interesting views on the world. Had such a great experience, I switched my major to Geography and never looked back. I now have a great career in Environmental Geography. Thanks Dr. Friberg!

GREAT guy, Best professor on campus - He dosn't spoon feed, but the classes are relaxed and fun - both he and the student enjoy it. POLS/GEOG 308 is the course everbody likes to hate - but he acctauly made it FUN. If you're not a self-learner don't take him, but Frieberg is THE MAN

He's happy to be a teacher. Doesn't care much about grades. Said he doesn't like to give Ds. I got a B but I'm not so sure that's right. Not beyond him to be disorganized and make mistakes. Took all sememster to return papers. Easy class, I only read 2 of 4 books and still got A's or B's on the tests and book review. Class never longer than 25 min.

So, i totally loved him.everyone else hated him in my class, and they actually studied. i never studied, but i always paid close attention in class and always got B's. he curves like crazy, so even if you get a 50, you mite get a B. I ended up with a B+. Just take notes and buy the course pack and you're set.

He's a good Professor, and very willing to help out. Extremely knowledgeable in Geography but this class is no joke. For 101 level it is very challenging but if you put the effort you should be ok. A lot of material. A lot of memorization. The guy is willing to help you in any way possible so if you do poorly it's really because of lack of effort.

I was interested in this kinda stuff, but afterwards, I'm just like, ugh. He obviously is very knowledgeable, knows where almost everything is. Pay attention to the maps. GET THE COURSEPACK. He has tests from the previous in there, memorize that, you'll get an A guaranteed. No need to go to class everyday, follow syllabus though!!

class was pretty easy all u had to do was do the coursew pak exams and ull get A's i got an A very nice and easy to talk to when its near break time chill all the time review the exams in the pak and pay attention ull do great talk to him it will make it alot easier great teacher!!

Dr. Friberg is misunderstood. He is a wonderful professor and knowledgeable but lectures are sometimes slow and not informative. Outside of class is probably the most helpful professor you will meet and does care about the well being of his students. Yes he hardly hands out quizzes and tests in time, but is so lenient in grading it doesnt matter

He was so confusing and impossible to follow. He never returned the quizzes and tests that we took, so it was impossible to gauge your progress in the class. I think he's a nice person if you talk to him outside of class, but it may be time for retirement!

I dont know what everyone else thinks, but when you have him for an upper level class the key is to talk to him in his office. He is very helpful and interested when u do that. I see him all the time. Very clear, funny and great proffesor.
