Professor Miller was fantastic. She is knowledgeable and clear in her lectures. She allows extra credit throughout the semester and always gives feedback. She is always ready to assist you in succeeding. While it is reading articles & writing heavy, she doesn't assign tests or quizzes and you are graded on papers and a lab report plus presentation.

Lynne is an awesome, challenging professor. I learned so much in her class as she's extremely passionate about what she teaches. She's difficult but in the best way possible. She truly wants every student to succeed. Take diligent notes, ask questions, read every article, and work hard on the essays. She makes you work for the A but it's worth it.

This is the second class I've taken with Lynne. Her class is really based on the lecture (no textbook for this class). Read ALL articles, they are essential to get every bit of detail from it into the essays. The essays require a lot of work but her amazing lectures, personality, and knowledge makes up for it. If you want the A, work for it.

For 104 you really have to attend the lectures in order to have the info you need for the essays. The essays are very straight forward but you definitely need to put a lot of effort into them and follow the instructions. Don't be afraid to ask questions she is very knowledgeable and fun to talk to.

4 essays, (send her your outlines and drafts helps your grade) and 1 research paper/presentation. No quizzes or tests. Participation is graded, so ask questions during class. Take good notes as they are used in all essays. Read all articles,as one is assigned as H.W. and others are offered as extra credit and used in all essays. Textbooks a must.

Professor Miller is a gem. One of the hardest classes I've taken in regards to essays-they're hard! Learned so much, I would take this class again just for the lectures. Lynne is super caring, wants you to succeed, replies to emails at all hours. Whole textbook is used, weekly articles and summaries, 3 essays, and 1 research/poster project.

No tests, but the papers are based on lectures, so you have to show up if you want your paper to be the best it can be. Her lectures are great and she's passionate about what she does!! One of my favorite professors here for sure

This course really was fascinating! I absolutely loved reading Martin's Hundred. However, it was quite tough in terms of workload. There were A LOT of weekly readings (textbook, Martin's Hundred, online articles), and the essays and research project demanded a considerable amount of time to be spent on them. If your schedule allows it, go for it!

Lynne is amazing!! She doesn't give tests or quizzes in any of her classes, and this class doesn't use a textbook- only article readings. However, there are pretty difficult essays, but if you take good notes, ask questions, and do the outline it is pretty straightforward and easy. This class is difficult but I learned so much and had a lot of fun.

Dr. Miller remains one of the best professors I have ever had. She will change your views of cultures and behaviors, and how the two interact, for the better. This was a fascinating class that intertwined bio and culture, with many life lessons learned from Dr. Miller throughout her course lectures. Highly recommend you take this course with her!

This was the best MCC class I've ever taken. But be warned, if you are not talkative and/or adequately prepared, you will end up dropping this class. Participation matters so skipping this class is not an option. Although she does hand out work-intensive homework, she is very inspirational, hilarious, and caring. She teaches 4yr uni level classes.

So Ive taken three Anthro classes with Lynne, she is my favorite teacher. During my first class, I was confused on the essay structures, but finally got the hang of it. THERE ARE NO TESTS! But 4 essays, an artifact project and a stupid book to read. The book was the worst part, there are articles to read. But its all interesting and I loved it!

Even though the assignments are quite lengthy, I enjoy having her as my professor. She is very helpful, funny, caring, and an expert in Anthropology. For all Anthropology majors I highly recommend her. Her lectures are very interesting and make sure you write everything she says otherwise you'll fall behind. Just do the articles and read the book.

Lynne was the best prof I had at MiraCosta. She really inspired me to work hard and helped me become a better writer. She gives you a standard template on college writing and I used it in my other classes and got A's on all of my papers. I am going to miss being in her class. It was challenging but very rewarding. I feel honored to be her student.

Lynne is hands down the best professor I have ever had. She is amazing. Not only is her teaching style interactive and top notch, but the content of her classes is incredibly interesting. They are life changing! She'll make you work for the A, but it is so worth it. Better than an easy A since you know you earned it!

What to say about Dr. Miller. I have devoted an unimaginable amount of time to her classes, which is absolutely necessary to receive a good grade. These are not classes to take lightly by any means, THERE WILL BE ESSAYS, not the type you do in one night either. She gives you every opportunity to succeed and is clear about it you just need to work!!

Miller is the best instructor I have ever encountered. She cares so much about her students, and dedicates much of her life to their individual success. She is honest, and very engaging. She provides all of the tools necessary to do very well in her classes, but you must work. She expects you to dedicate your time to her class, as she does to you.
