Comment:

MKT 534 is a rigorous course & requires a lot of work; however if you have a good group, it isn't too bad. There are lots of readings, a few group presentations and a paper, but no exams. Koza herself is very smart and cares about her students - you can tell she still enjoys teaching, which I admire. If you put in enough effort you'll do fine.

Comment:

Koza was, straight up, THE most BORING teacher I have EVER had. I missed so many classes simply because I had 0 inspiration to go. Every lecture was, for a lack of better words, absolutely painful. I do not recommend this class to ANYONE, even marketing majors!

She is a good teacher and makes the class really interesting. She assigns online quizzes every week but they're really easy. The case studies are also super easy. She takes attendance every class though.

Comment:

The lectures can be very extraneous but if you participate the class goes by quick. She studied at Boston U for her PhD and is experienced in research; has a lot of knowledge about companies and the way they market. Show some interest and ask questions, you'll learn so much. Great professor!

Gives you the option to take a multiple choice test or short answer test, do the short answer test because its open notebook and she gives you examples of what will be on the test for the short answer and you can write the answer in your notebook and when you take the test you just copy the answer in your notebook. Comment:

Koza is a very nice woman but her classes are dreadful. She doesn't give a break to her night classes and really does talk on and on, sometimes even past end time. Work load is crazy but gives out a ton of extra credit. So much so i could not keep up with the extra credit options. If you can stand her long boring lectures, she's a caring prof.

Professor Koza is an amazing women, she's very sweet and patient. Her night class is very long and it drags but she's very smart and knows what she's talking about. She wants to teach her students more than just the text book but her exams are strictly on the text book, regardless of the lecture. She's awesome :D

Lectures are very very boring and irrelevant but the assignments and open note tests are very easy. DO NOT do the multiple choice on the exams, do the essays. Everything you need for the exam will be in the lecture slides on blackboard so bring them to the exam. Definitely an easy A.

Lectures are long and slow - powerpoint material that can be viewed through blackboard. Only two open note exams, 5 case assignments, 2 topic presentations and weekly discussion board questions. Gives extra credit. After 3 absences, no participation grade. But get ready to read the MKT book front to back. Try not to take this at night.

Syllabus is a mess. I feel like she's trying to teach this like a hybrid course but it's not. Two and a half hours of rambling lecture a week, plus weekly Blackboard discussions, and weekly exercises. She doesn't fully understand Blackboard so it's hard to keep track of assignments. Don't take if you balance full-time work and full-time school.

Awesome, would take her again. She is funny, energetic, respectful and always there for you. Take her, you wouldn't regret it. Only 2 test and they are open book. No quiz and over 30 points extra credit. Easy A. Just do the assignments and show some interest.

Professor Koza has been extremely helpful to me even though I am only a marketing minor...Her tests are open note. She listens to what you have to say and is interested in your opinion. As long as you do the little bit of homework and take notes you will have an easy A the homework is so simple

her lectures are boring and she makes class seem so much longer than it is. her tests are open note but they prolly wont even help u on the multiple choice since she talks mostly about her experiences than what will be on the tests. i would not recommend her... felt like killing myself during every class it was soooo boring

Koza is a teacher that really cares about her students, espeically marketing majors. She really hits all the basics' of MKTing but it is VERY long taking the 2 1/2 hour class all at once and all of her lesson are powerpoints and blackboard. DO the work and you'll do fine. Her final and midterm is open book! Print powerpoints b4 class!!
