You can clearly tell that Professor Lemke loves her job. Although geography is not the most interesting to me, you can see how passionate she is about it and it makes it easier to listen to her. There are a lot of lectures and lab homework but they aren't too bad and she is really good at explaining things.

Great teacher overall!! She is really easy to understand and makes clear what will be on the tests. There is generally a lot of information that needs to be known for exams, but if you do as she says and take time to know the material you will do great. She is always in a good mood and likes to include stories, making class interesting.

Comment:

Karen Lemke makes geography fun. She is extremely passionate about what she teaches and is always in a good mood. The pictures that she includes in her lectures are from her own personal trips so she isn't speaking from a textbook, she is speaking from experience. I loved this course! I would take it again and study much harder for my exams.

I thought Professor Lemke was a great teacher, however, her tests had so much information packed into it. They were difficult and I'm struggling hard core with passing the class right now. I go to all the lectures and labs

Excellent professor with an effective and thorough teaching style. She takes the time to make sure we understand the material and is very willing to help if we have questions. The field trips and labs are all wonderful learning opportunities, with the quality that applies to real life situations and professions. Take this professor/course!

She's a great professor! She can get off topic with random stories but they're pretty entertaining. She'll always take time to answer any questions. I don't find the exams to hard as long as you go to the lectures and labs. She does give a lot of extra credit opportunities to make up for miss assignments or bring exam grades up.

Just like others have said, she really wants you to do well in the class and wants you to understand the material, and is willing to help. I started to get frustrated about half-way through the semester, I think it was mostly because I had the class EVERY DAY and most days at 8am. I got a little sick of it. but, overall, wasn't too bad.

Great teacher and really helpful. Made learning and labs fun. Wants you to do well so will help you and will give you pointers on how to study. She really cares, and is one of the best professors i've had.

first off i hate any thing that has to do with science, but even knowing this i really enjoyed this class. you have to study and keep on top of everything. otherwise things aren't going to be good. if for some reason you do fall behind she is willing to help you out in anyway possible. she is there for you and she wants you to do well
