I haven't really taking a "real" class from her yet besides the Honors Colloquium which is more of an activities-based class for the Honors community at UVU. But Kate is such a great person, she's funny and down-to-earth, she seems to really care about her students and is passionate about her work. Interacting with her is a privilege.

I love Kate!! She is so great and I would definitely recommend taking her class. I have honestly grown so much throughout her class this semester. She will give you great new insights and greatly increase your knowledge. Definitely always attend class and read- those are both musts.

When asked: "If, when the zombie apocalypse happens, you could turn into any animal, what animal would you turn into?" "Velociraptor," she said instantly. Then she hesitated. "No: an eagle. Zombies can't fly." (True story.) Kate is fun, insightful, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I strongly recommend her.

Absolutely loved & adored Kate! I was not interested in this class at all, but she opened me up to a whole new view point & this class ended up being my favorite! She has a way of captivating your attention & making the class interesting! She truly cares about her students &will go out of her way to help you! I highly recommend her as a professor!

Kate is great, she is super funny! She always went out of her way to explain things and to give extra help. She really helped me grow as a student. She was open minded and worked with the students needs. The class was full of insightful discussion and thoughts. This was a hard class but she made it a completely manageable, wonderful experience.

I would say if you would like to learn a lot in English take her, but if you just want an easy A STAY AWAY! I loved this class even though I wish I had gotten a better grade I don't consider myself very good at writing so if you don either, than stay away. She will put your writing to the test.

I had Kate for Ancient Legacies. She was great! The material was a bit difficult, but she's organized, prepared and helpful. She's demanding, but it's worth it, she will help you. The only thing I felt like I needed more guidance on our essays, but it all went well.

Kate is a lovely teacher! She has enthusiasm for shakespeare, but she doesnt teach it like gospel! :P she always comes to class energetic and is willing to help you out so long as you are a good participant. very understanding and fun.

Freaking awesome teacher!! She was SO good! I loved this class. She even brought in slides to show places she'd been in England that we were discussing. Sometimes we didn't do our reading and so the class discussion wasn't the best; I think that frustrated her, but sometimes we didn't talk just because she was cool to listen to. Knew her stuff!

Kate is one of the most helpful professors I've ever worked with. She understands students life, and works with you. gives extra credit for any social important/interesting activity at school. She knows what she is teaching very well. She is funny, and good looking !!
