Very generous professor. There are so many chances to get extra credit. 2exams and 1 group project. The project is not very hard, a textbook is not required but if you want to get the extra credit like 19points on your midterm grade and 6points on your final exam, you have to purchase Connect code. Exams - all multiple choice questions.

His lectures are boring, but the practice questions he gives you are helpful. But the test questions will require a more thinking than the practice ones. For the midterm I looked up one of the questions he gave and it was a practice CPA exam question... So that's the difficulty you'll be tested at, just to warn you.

Definitely attend the lectures, they really help. Midterm is doable (based off practice problems he posts on BB), but the Final is definitely harder (cumulative). One group presentation which isn't very difficult, and no homework. Textbook is not needed, but you'll still need to buy it anyway because of online quizzes.

So he's not awful, but you have to be warned. The midterm is extremely straight forward, looks just like the tons of practice problems he gives you in class. The final? The final is a complete disaster if you studied the packets for the final you're screwed also a big note the final is worth 50%. One simple presentation. Some online quizzes.

The course itself can be intimidating since we have to 'complete' a 1,000 page textbook in one semester. I think Prof. Ruland made the class as simple as it can be, as he did not focus too much on details. It was more of establishing a foundation in accounting. Textbook? No, just focus on every single problem he gives, you'll do very well then.

Professor Ruland is very nice professor. I took hybrid course with him. He gave a lot of practice problems so it would be easier for us to learn material on its own. Midterm is very easy from practice problems, but final is very hard, so make sure to do your best on midterm. There is also presentation to do. I would take prof Ruland again.

I don't understand why other people complained about him. His class is very straightforward. I don't even have to open the book. All questions came from sample test. Nothing surprised. Trust me I have invested a lot of time in accounting class. This one is bonus. Easy A. I skipped the final haha.

I would not say that it was an easy ride, but very possible one for sure. You basically have to do all the homework and quizzes online, for your own sake. Recitations are definitely a big help, so don't miss those. I know some people who studied in groups, it might help too.Make sure to remember the formulas for exam.Decent amount of effort needed.

Easy! Attendance+online hw=30%, then 2 easy multiple choice exams. The material is not hard (boring, yes), but if u think u might need help take E Kinory for recitation. Exams are very similar to hws, zero surprises. I read the summary at the end of each chapter n looked at the solved pb before the exams, got an A. Take him for an easy ride

I have to agree from the previous comments. His exams are extremely difficult. The practice exams are nothing similar from the actual exams. His lecture is clear and comprehensible but exams are killer. I got only C+ and very disappointed because I aced financial I & II but C+ on financial III

he is tough believe me. Even he give practice exams nothing is similar or the same from the practice exam. I recommend to take another professor because professor Rulland exams are extremely difficult. His teaching is clear but the exams are nothing from his lectures.

omg...i spent most of time on this class..i study a lot for the first exam...but i think i m going to fail this class...acc4100 is hard..and he makes it much harder!!his exam is a killer!!6 MC and the rest are problem question..almost 50% students drop this class after the first midterm!think about it before u take this professor..god bless u..
