Comment:

She is super bubbly and super nice. Teaches you well and good bout writing skills and tips. Cons are she does not let you pick a topic for the final essay so that might be a little hard, also her grading is very strict so you have got to take care of every little detail.

Comment:

I can't imagine that she's been a teacher for very long because she so caught up in her own ideas of things. Didn't allow alternative perspectives on course material. Read directly from overheads without allowing students access to the overheads. Skimmed over much of the course. Worst prof I've ever had - I do not recommend taking a class with her.

Comment:

Not too bad of a prof, but lecture style of reading primarily off slides made it hard to stay awake early in the morning. Would have liked to go a bit more in depth with things, but left more room to explore my ideas in my writing. TAs were fair. Overall a good class-but make sure you do the readings or really read her notes-final is a bit tricky.

I don't know where some people are saying her notes sucked. While they don't really seem very inspiring at first, they were good enough for me to write a short essay on the final about a book I didn't even touch during that class. Tons of reading, you need to keep it up. Other than that, not a bad class.

kate is RAD. although fast paced, her lecture style is concise, yet informative. you can afford to miss a lecture at times, her notes make it easy to catch up. no help writing an essay? BS! she spent an entire lecture on HOW TO, you fools. plus the time she spends explaining style, message, form, etc. of each reading. does it get any simpler?

What use is it to go to lecture, when all the prof does is tell mundane and useless details about the author, and not the book? Her notes are horrible, uncreative (perfect for an english class), and nothing I wouldn't have learned if I had simply googled the novel. Worse yet is how she embarresses and criticises the students opinions. What a waste

She is very nice and accomadating. She makes an extra effort to help her students excel. Her lectures make reading the books almost pointless. She is a fair marker. But it was kind of interesting that all the literature discussed in class was either feminist, anti-war or anti-business.

Kate is a great Professor. She's always helpful and gives a ton of feedback. All of the lectures were interesting, and she even made Ulysses approachable. She's also a very fair marker, though she may mark a little on the easy side. She's pretty cute too.
