Professor Arnold is VERY PASSIONATE about art and it shows during her lectures. There is some memorization of art pieces, one major project, midterm and final w/ essays. She goes over everything and is available for help. I never knew art could be so interesting, I learned alot during the semester! Thanks Mrs. Arnold!

Her class is really straightforward with minimal memorization. She is so passionate about art and such a sweet person. I am really bad at art and history but this class was a combo and fortunately, it was a breeze for a person like me.

Well to start she is by far the nicest teacher I have ever had. She is so passionate about the subject. Her website makes everything accessible if you ever miss a class. Her tests are open note with minimal memorization. You never get out early but she is still an awesome fair teacher who is always willing to help.

Very interesting. The work is more than adequate, but she makes class enjoyable. Prior to this class I had no interest in Art, now I enjoy the subject. Just complete your work and do it good, you will get a good grade. Slack and you will not get the best grade.

I enjoyed this class. I had very little interest in art history, but Prof. Arnold made this class interesting for me. She is so friendly, so nice, and very professional. Highly recommended.

I took this class for requirement but boy am I glad that I did. The class was fun. What else... Prof. Arnold is perhaps most genuinely nicest person who I ever met. I love her stories too.

I took Kathy for the month long summer classes for both art 91 and 92. It was so easy. Only get the book if you want, everything is online. She grades easy. But she can be a little flaky and confusing cause she goes off on tangents. Hearst Castle project very easy. If I could take her for another class I would. Highly recommended.

Professor Arnold is a very strong teacher with a passion for Art. Class can be a little boring but just take decent notes and the exams are a breeze. If you somehow have a hard time earning an A, she offers extra credit. P.S. Buy the textbook, even though it is expensive you will not survive without it.

What a wonderful teacher! I had no interest in art prior to this class. Wow, she really changed that! She is so passionate and so knowledgeable about this subject. I wish she could teach history classes- first time I've ever enjoyed history! Take her! You'll learn a lot in a no-stress environment! :)

just took her intersession 08. omg i cant say by a word.dis pro is extremely helpful. Art 2me is a boring subject, but when i took her class, i no longer have this opinion. Kathy iz the best pro of art subject in sjcc, even in da world.Beliv me, take her, youll no longer feel bored. Extremely excited class, easy to get A if doing all required works

Great teacher! Very kind and patient with students. Good teaching technique, and the projects tie into her lectures. Her study sheets are perfect to study for her tests. I took her 3 week class and had no problem.

Wonderful teacher! She explains well and makes the class interesting. She is so easy on grading and exams. Do your assignment (which are easy btw). She is really nice and helpful, cares so much about students. I recommend her to every friend I know of, and they all get As. So will u!

art hist is a boring subject regardless but equipped w/a cup of coffee you'll find that this class is not so bad. teacher makes lectures fun. very helpful and always promptly returns calls and emails. EZ A cuz tests r takehome and quizes r straight from takehome tests.

I can't believe the rates this teacher got! She is soooo boring! She wastes 75% of class time trying to figure out who should be in class and who shouldn't. Her exam questions are EXACTLY like the questions in the homework which you can use as a cheat sheet for the exam so do your homework!
