Carter is an artist and skilled in his craft and experience. His knowledge could help an artist in any field develop more. He has great people skills and is respectful. His classes are project based and he expects much of you. Will not bore you with tedious, grade school type assignments. I wish the rest of the art department was as classy.

I'm currently taking my third class with Keith. Not only does he have a true passion for what he does, he pushes kids to their limits (in a positive way). He's open to different ideas and styles and he is helpful when kids aren't understanding the course. He also does a great job of introducing students to worldly, art related events each class.

I feel like he only wanted to make duplicates of himself and was not at all interested in student experimentation. He grades based on your technical skills, but when I had questions or couldn't figure out how to do something, he was very un-helpful.

He is OK. Like somone else said, if you are not an art student he is not for you. I just wanted to take photography for the fun of learning something new, not to become the next Keith Carter. He seems to be a little critcal of those who are not art majors.

I had fun and learned more about photography in his class. It does seem if you are an art major he expects more from you, but even if you aren't he hates boring photos. I was swaying between graphic design and photography; he mades me want to learn more and gain more experience..
