Comment:

He makes you use mcgraw hill connect, which is probably the most deeply flawed language software there is. Even though hes one of the only French professors at the school, you dont want to take him. It would better to take French at an entirely different college if you care about your gpa at all.

Comment:

I really enjoyed his stories. Felt that the first half of the semester went well; after spring break things seemed disorganized. The book he uses allows you to keep up or get ahead outside of class. Be very aware that he has oral submissions online also. These are easy enough to record and submit, but they're a non-negotiable part of the course.

The actual lecture is very involved. If you're coming to class he expects you to want to learn to speak French, which is good. He has the experience, is a good teacher and has a good personality. The length of the class is the only part I would like to change, being two hours long each meeting is hard on the attention span.

Definitely would not take this professor again. He wasn't awful, but I personally need someone who makes me excited to go to class. His lectures are very long and extremely boring, and there is a lot of oral participation. I was lucky I had a basic knowledge of french going into the class because I would've have been so lost if not.

I took his online class, everything is on MacGraw-Hill. The only assignments were written & oral tests, you either had a test or an oral assignment each week. The tests were long, not hard, but specific grading applied. He does not post any lectures or answer questions that are left in the test itself. I took 3 years in high school so I was fine.

This online class is SO hands off. You have assignments on Mcgraw Hill. I took French in high school so this class just refreshed me of what I had forgotten. He doesn't put lectures or anything up. He expects you to teach yourself so if this is your first time taking French then I recommend not doing it online

I took French 1 with him and he offered no help. He takes a very hands-off approach to his online classes. He can have very unrealistic expectations to what a student can finish in a timed test. Would never take again.

Comment:

Professor Moula is a interesting character, able to go on tangents about Paris and the history of France. He's able to help quite a bit to better understand structures and phonetics, does work with conversational French and tests relatively straight forward as long as homework assignments are completed timely. I enjoyed the class thoroughly.

Really nice professor. Even though I'm not in his class anymore, he still gives me a lot of resources that will help me learn French. His class is kinda boring but he explains the material and he's willing to help you understand any part of the language only if you ask him.

This is a fantastic teacher. If you don't want to actually learn the language and are just looking for a grade, then don't take this class. You will be challenged. He does not grade hard on the tests, he is very fair. Too many people just expect easy grades, and this teacher makes you work for it. Great class to participate and learn French!

I took this online, and loved it. Be responsible and do your work on time, and you'll succeed. Fun class, and highly enlightening. Only set back is that the French is very fast-paced and throws you right in. Zero English. But so fun! Great professor, and very nice and helpful.

This professor is amazing. I completely disagree with all the previous comments. If you pu out ANY effort, he will do everything n his power to help you succeed. He is a very kind man who is passionate about all things France. His class is not boring in the least- he make it come alive. Just show up and participate and you will be fine.

He is really rude! and picks on students in class. Initially was very excited about French, but this prof killed my passion for the language! Grading is hard. Tests are pretty often and you have to attend class to really pass class.Only fun thing we did was watch a video toward the end!

very good professor. he truly wants you to understand and will give you countless examples to help. the tapes are a bit redundant but if you struggle with pronunciation then nothing else will really train your ear outside of class (short of living abroad) so that's really your best bet if you need them! persistence pays off in the end.
