First day of class she states, "I don't get paid enough to use online resources", cause she doesn't care enough about you to do so. She always says she used to teach English, so get ready to write. She will take off points for grammar and spelling issues, which is ironic since she misspells quite often. No leniency on tardiness or absences ever.

Welcome to teacher improve, this class feels like you toke some random person off the street and gave them a half hour with the textbook and expect them to give an hour and fifteen lecture. Frequently gets facts wrong and isn't open to corrections. Get ready to read the textbook because she frequently off topic you don't get half the matieral.

I took this humanities class as a prerequisite just to help get my AA and she takes it extremely serious. It seems her goal is to make you fail. Tougher grader on papers than any of my English professors. She said "she doesn't get paid enough to post on the internet" so no canvas or online work. 100% do not take at all!

She was extremely nice to me. You have to bring your textbook everyday with you. She doesn't go in detail that much in lecture. Her tests are multiple choice with an essay at the end. She grades the essay strictly but the multiple choice wasn't that hard. We had one research paper, so make sure you're familiar with MLA format. 2 tests, 2 quizzes

She's not bad. Her tests are hard and she's a tough grader. She's not mean or anything just a little eccentric and gets off topic a bit too much. We strayed from the syllabus a lot of times 'cause she would get off topic. So she's not terrible but not fantastic.

Professor Nelson is alright. She is definitely a HUGE stickler about attendance and spelling/grammar. Your essay portion of every test better not have any mistakes or she will count off for EVERY mistake. But to listen to her lecture is actually very interesting. Her tests are pretty hard, but there are only 3 the entire semester.

Nelson is very detailed. She has been to most of the countries in the book and knows everything @ it. She expects you to remember a lot. Her tests are not easy. Paper essays are drafts, yet she grades them to profection. I enjoyed listening to her but wouldn't advise you to take her class unless you're a stickler like she is.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. I knew the material beforehand and thought I would love this class. It is the teacher that made me hate it. She is EXTREMELY horrible about attendance, NOT understanding at all. NOT RECOMMENDED. Take this class with someone else.

I took her for Humanities. Stay away from anything she teaches. She rushed through the material every day and left early just so she could get to her other job on time. Most important to me, though, was that she discriminated against me by pressuring me into not using the DSS center for my exams, permitted by the school, that prof. must adhere to.

Exuberant, vibrant personality. She goes out of her way to keep your interest while teaching the fundamentals. Essays are generally easy topics all she is looking for is proper grammar, structure and editing.
