I was lucky enough to have Prof. Rutledge for a short time. She was our professor and then had to leave mid-semester. I was terrified of taking Bio 141, but she made it so doable. She is brilliant, kind, clear, concise, & so helpful. She makes you want to work hard for the A. Since she left synergy in the class is pretty horrible. We all miss her!

She is very straightforward. As long as you complete the study guides and take notes in class you should get an A. The lab practicals require lots of memorization because it is anatomy heavy but you will pass. She offers lots of extra credit on every exam.

Really amazing professor for A&P. The material is difficult, but Professor Rutledge is always willing to help you understand. Super patient, always available for help, and truly wants her students to succeed.

tough grader, takes off points for no reason such as missing a letter, no choosing the answer she wants (correct answers can be wrong if she specified a different one in class). she is nice in person, but terrible as a teacher.

Took Bio 142 with her and I can say that she is a an amazing, passionate professor. Exams are a bit hard and she does tend to take off points for small things but I would definitely have her as my professor again!!!

Professor Rutledge is one of the best teacher I have ever had, she loves her job and she is very passionate about it. She will talk about her lectures with so much emotion and conviction that would make you want to actually study . Very helpful w/ material and actually worries about how you are doing in the class. Just an amazing teacher overall.

Professor Rutledge is one of the best science teachers I have ever had. Her lectures are clear and fun and she clearly loves microbiology. She gives lots of pointers and helpful study guides. But make sure you get your spellings right for bacteria and other scientific terms. With all her help and hard work on your part you could easily get an A!

Gives you everything you need to get an A. Read along with her notes during class and study what she highlights, especially short answer info. For her lab, only study what she highlights in the handouts. She gives ample extra credit. I only used her study guides and lab guides and got an A. Opened the book one time to look up an extra credit term.

Exceptional teacher, keeps lectures like a story line which facilitates easy recall. But beware of your spelling mistakes. She provides clarity when confused or in doubt and gives extra credit. But be ready to do your part, she is a guide. Very informative.

This is the only review I have ever written on a professor, which means a lot. This is hands down the best professor I've ever had at a university or community college. She provides you with all the knowledge that you need to do well and is very approachable. This course will demand a good amount of your time, but you will leave knowledgeable!

Professor Rutledge is an amazing professor. She is super sweet and always there for you when you need help. She has an amazing lecture voice, very clear and precise. She never gets frustrated when you need her to go back over something. I would highly recommend her.

One of the most POLITE and respectful people I have ever seen! As long as you're ready to work hard, so very hard, you will love her and her interesting lectures. She is so helpful in Labs, too. Your grade is your effort, so just get your self ready for the hard work in A&P. I will never forget Prof. Kim Rutledge.

Ms. Rutledge is an amazing, gifted science teacher. Tests are hard but she tells you what is on them. The hw assignments and extra credit help a lot towards your tests and overall grade. You will learn a lot but you will have to work hard. I would take any of her classes.

Professor Rutledge is a great teacher! I sincerely recommend her to everybody. However, do not think you can receive good grades without you hard work. You have to do all her assignments and extra credit if you want to succeed. She gives everything and very emotionally and lively tells about A&P. I would like to take all Professor Rutledge classes.

Prof Rutledge gives you all the tools you need to do well in this course. What a gifted teacher! She works very hard to make the material accessible. In the end it is up to you; show up, study and focus, if you have questions ask, she is willing to help. If A&P or Micro are in your future take Prof R's Class
