Dr. Walter is AMAZING. She is incredibly smart and gives engrossing lectures but also opens up her class to discussions. What I liked most was the amount of feedback she gave on every assignment. She was truly inspiring I highly recommend you take her. She doesnt only assign essays also creative writing projects! She also always brought snacks!

She is honestly a really great teacher! I just want to say that If you aren't into the environment please don't take her. She is very technical and it's really about the quality of the content you write. She is amazingly nice and we got to do a lot more hands on things in class! It was 8 weeks but it was pretty easy because I was so focused. TAKE!!

Gives good feedback for the essays. The online course was neatly organized. It can be overwhelming to take it over a summer session, but it is definitely doable. Overall, a great professor!

She's a wonderful professor, very caring and knows her stuff. Attendance and being on time is very important as you are graded on it. If you're a decent writer it's an easy A class, she's not at all a tough grader. She assigns other writing assignments on top of essays, if you don't manage your time properly it's overwhelming. Definitely recommend!

Dr. Walter has completely changed my experience in college so far! She is very passionate and experienced, and her assigned readings were very interesting. If grades are important to you, I would say that your biggest priority should be the essays, which she will be happy to work with you on as much as you need if writing is not your strong suit.

In the beginning, I had a C in her class and I struggled a lot because back in High School, none of my English teachers really taught me how to write an essay. Dr. Walter is extremely kind and patient. She helped me a lot during her office hours and not only I received an A in her class but most importantly, my writing skill improved.

She gives really great feedback and is very willing to help you if need to get started on an essay. Just talk to her! She's extremely nice. No homework, just 4 essays (including the final in-class essay). She also just had us buy two books which were relatively cheap (and honestly you can just return it at the end). Easy A!

Everything you read will be based on the environment and she places a lot of emphasis on essay structure. Try not to overthink the prompts and go over your ideas with her to ensure it meets her requirements. Her grading is not easy, but she provides solid feedback to your work. Work with her outside of class as well. Take her journals seriously.

Shes great! Great personality, accepting, knows what shes talking about. If you dont care about climate change dont take a class based on environmental problems. Loved her, loved her class. 4 essays, 2 journals that bring your grade UP, and one group presentation. Get close to people in the class because honors classes are typically smaller!

Shes an alright teacher. Nothing really to spectacular about her class. Its just read and discuss as a class. We had to do a journal for one of our novels and you definitely cant wait till the last minute and need to start as soon as reading the novel. Overall just okay, but wouldnt take again.

It's not an easy A class. She might be a good professor for most people. But for me she kept pushing her own ideals to everything, so it got very annoying. You want to get an A, then keep asking for feedbacks on the essays, so that you know what she wants you to write. Her concepts are confusing, and frankly her essay prompts were also confusing.

I'll be honest, this isn't really a critical thinking course. Walter is a fine professor and truly cares about her student's work, but she injects her political views of the environment into EVERYTHING. You write 4 essays alongside a journal for 2 novels. Every essay and journal is related to climate change and Walter pushing her students to fix it

Awesome professor! She really challenges you to change your perspective and she's super chill. The essays are graded pretty hard but the best way to do well on them is to talk to her one on one about it. She's very accessible and always wanting to help. We had 4 essays, 3 journals, and 1 presentation. Attendance was graded. Take her!

She is a very intelligent lady who truly wants you to succeed. Do all of the work well, and you will get an A. She always assigns awesome reading, and has great humor. She's a really cool teacher and easy to get along with. Her classes are run by discussion though, so you must be able to actively participate, or it will get boring. Not many papers.

She is an amazing professor. She is inspirational and every class she is ready with an amazing lecture. The class atmosphere was great. Definitely read the books she assigns. She is a tough grader when it comes to the essays and she makes you work for it, but ask her for insight and she will give you great feedback.

I do admit she's a good teacher, helpful and answers everything, but she assigns a LOT of homework. It's very difficult to keep track of all of it - several complex assignments are assigned at once. If you're taking other challenging courses, this one might be hard to keep up with. Only students who are good at writing can get A from her class.

She's very intelligent and treats the class like a book club which is cool once people participate. She wants everyone to succeed and it quick to hand out full points for assignments done right. You will read large amounts of literature that will change your way of thinking and help you better understand the world we live in. Wonderful experience.
