Comment:

DB's music class is very easy. All he requires you to do are 3 concert reports (he offers a 4th one for extra credit), a pre/post test and 5 very easy exams (he drops the lowest one). You can tell how passionate he is about music and always enjoys teaching his students about it. He will say he requires the book but it's not really needed.

Prof Ball is pretty nice. EASY class, obviously it's boring if you're not an english major but sit and the back and do other HW. He gives a study guide for exams which is very clear and 4 total music reports which take like 15 mins to write. Laid back class would recommend. DON'T buy the book all the songs are on Youtube just don't let him see.

DB is a great teacher! He gives study guides for his test that make the class easy. He drops your worst test and he gives extra credit. He's also super nice and I recommend taking his class!

DB is such a sweetheart! He is so passionate about music and composers discussed in class. I do have to say this class is boring but he tries hard to make it entertaining. Memorize the study guide & LISTEN to the music guide and you should get an A on every test.

DB has got to be the coolest professor I've had so far. His class was super easy and he's a walking history book. He has so much knowledge to share. Just show up, study for the tests and go to the concerts. You'll do just fine

Probably one of the sweetest, down to earth and caring people ever. You can just see how much passion he has for music, which makes class so much better. He is so simple and helpful with it all. Also, he tells so many amazing stories and very funny. 10/10 RECOMMEND!!!!! Love Dr. Ball

Very easy class. You can tell he genuinely loves music through the many stories that he tells. If you show up to class you will be fine. He gives a study guide before every test which is basically the answer sheet. Also, he offers a 20 pt extra credit concert report and drops your lowest test grade. I took his 8:00 class, but it wasn't even bad.

He is a very kind man. You can tell he loves music and loves to teach music. Just show up to class and you'll be more than fine for the tests. He's a walking history book, so listen up during his stories! You'd have to be a special kind of lazy to fail his class.

Easy A. No reason you can't get an A unless you're foolish enough not to try. Five tests plus final. Drops lowest. Three concert reports plus 4th for EC. Super cool professor, keeps the class laughing, but doesn't tolerate talking over him or texting during class. So don't be the idiot to be asked to withdraw from his class for this. He will boot.

Such a sweet guy. His passion for music is very apparent. He really cares for his students and is not afraid to say what's on his mind. There were five musical era tests. He drops the lowest of the musical era tests. He gives you a review that has almost all of the answers for the test, the only thing you need to do is look up the music on Youtube.

Such a sweet and genuinely kind man. You can tell he really cares about his students. Although lectures can feel very long, he tries to keep it light. Class is an easy A as long as you don't skip out on the concert reports. Also listen to the music and go over his study guides if you want to do well on tests; ends up dropping ur lowest test grade.

He's just a cute old man who loves music so much and just wants to share it with everyone. I took his 7am class and I'll admit, it is a little hard just because he lectures the whole time, but he tries his best to make it interesting and will dance in front of the classroom when a song he really likes comes on.

DB is so amazing, he is the sweetest old man ever. I honestly listen to all of his lectures through and through. I am currently taking him, and thus far I have not touched my book once. You do not need the book. All you need is a pencil and paper. At the end of each time period he gives a study guide. That study guide is the test.

He will repeat things a lot like fun safety etc.. And his lectures are long. But before every test he gives a study guide and gives out most of the answers, and you have to listen to the music otherwise it will make the test harder. DONT buy the book it was a waste of money...

Great teacher. Its rare that you find a teacher who cares this much about their students. His lectures will all fill up the entire class time, and I would advise against taking it at 7am, because you will fall asleep at some point. Grades easy. Just be sure you study and pay attention and you will pass.
