Comment:

One of the best math teachers I've had, and I've been through the Navy's Nuclear Power Program, taken AP classes, honors classes, etc. Willing to take the time to help you understand conceptually. Spend some time in the book and you can definitely get an A in this class regardless of who you are.

Coty is an average professor. I took his Intro to Stats class but like everyone else has noted, the questions on his tests come directly from the homework. If you fail to do the homework you will fail the class. He is not very helpful when it comes to emailing him questions so it does help to attend class. Attendance is optional.

Mr. Coty made Statistics very simple. He's a great professor. It is not an easy A, however it is very easy to get an A in the class. I would definitely recommend him!

Statistics is not an easy class, and he made the class a little easier. His tests are from the homework in the book and not the online homework..in the beginning I wish I would have paid more attention to that. Other than that, I love his random stories and jokes, he is hilarious to me. But the class is HARD

I wish he taught Pre Cal. He is as clear as anyone can get. The thing that I thought was most thoughtful is that he answers ALL of your questions. The test come from the homeework, so no suprises.

He is a very good teacher, helpful, extremely available with students. Do all your homework and read the chapter on your book you will pass this class well! Usually math profs are serious and boring, this one is very funny. I would suggest Larry Coty to a friend.

The deeper he goes, the better Coty will make. This teacher is the only one out of the best teachers at GPC. If you missed Yahoo,CNN,and etc homepages,u would be informed about those breaking news.:) Overall, he explains things well. Fair tests. u must read each section and do hw to make a good grade. I wish he will teach Cal3 or even Diff Equa.

Coty is a very cool and nice guy! Bad thing about this is it distracts him from teaching. He wastes 75% of class time telling random stories. He also skips process steps when explaining Calculus problems, which sucks for students who don't understand and is annoyed if you ask to clarify. Do the HW & study on your own b/c he is lenient on tests.

He really knows the stuffs. He breaks it down to make it easy for some students, who have difficulties in math. A lot of us are so young in this subject, and I really appreciated Professor Coty. I wish he will also teach Cal 3, so I can take his class again and again.

Now I will say Mr Coty is pretty challenging but everything does come straight from the homework even the test questions he also offers to go over the home work problems will do them on the board for you the thing is you have to ACTUALLY study outside of classtime he grades fair too

The exam questions come exactly from the homework, only works 2 (at most) examples from new material and skips most of the steps. Goofs off 85% of class. THIS IS CALCULUS!! Not learning support math. Take a professor who will teach calculus.

Take him if you are ready to TEACH YOURSELF.HORRIBLE, i was completely lost and clueless math is my fav subj but,this guy does not teach he sits around joking the entire class.Picks quest from HWs,I had to withdraw I had lower than 53% on his tests sucks DO NOT TAKE HIM. Few good things about him he doesnt care about tardines and he grades easily.

He is a funny gut, but he doesn't teach anything. He merely works out problems from the textbook and your on your own. He is easy in the sense that you never have to come to class, but thats just showing that he doesn't care about his students.

Nice guy, but terrible teacher! He doesn't work out every step, so students are left wondering where he went in the middle of the problem. Takes questions from hw, has test review days, and bonuses on the tests, but grades are not curved and partial credit is a joke. Grade based on test and final grades ONLY! Goes off track a lot! Hard to follow!

This professor does not teach. He does a half a page of notes for each section, does 1 example and then spends the rest of class talking about nonsense!! When ask for help during office hours, talked down to me and made it seem like I was dumb. I have a Bachelors degree and have attended a few different schools, worst math professor I have ever had
