To say she is amazing is the least. Super caring of her students, and always there to help. Course material was very clear and easy to learn. Has so many extra credit opportunities. Super nice, and would recommend her to anyone. Will definitely be on the lookout for more courses I can take with her!

Leigh is great!! Shes the sweetest teacher Ive ever had. She cares a lot for her students and it shows, she was willing to help me through assignments I was struggling with when I was ill. She gives lots of extra credit and she is so helpful if you just ask. Also, she will occasionally bring snacks for everyone. Take her class, you wont regret it

My sister loved this class so I took it. Great teacher and class! She responded almost immediately when I emailed her during the day. Gave a choice-- tests or research project. I chose the project and she gave feedback every week. She recommended I give my manager my project after and she used it! I even got promoted! Best class I took here.

Terrible teacher. Has a rubric for what she expects to get an A, but actually you have to go above and beyond A work to get a good grade. Following the rubric will get you a C at best. I would never recommend her to even my worst of enemies. Very rude too

I have taken a few classes with her. Very easy to get along with, my fave Professor here at UMSL. Do the work and make sure you make an effort to communicate with her. She is willing to help those who want to learn. Love her!

Took her FS 12 for Conflict Communication online. Class is cake however despite what she says she does not get back to students in a reasonable amount of time. You will get an A as long as you do her weekly discussions, though they are never relevant to the course material. I feel like I learned nothing.

By far the worst professor at UMSL, she once took 4 days to respond to an email numerous times. The class was Computer Mediated Communication, and the textbook was from 2003. I don't how you could expect to teach a class on computer communication and use a book that is over 6 years old! Directions are unclear and she is overall a horrible teacher.

LOVE this professor! She always responds to my emails in a day or two. I made an appointment and she helped me with my vgoa. She's tough but that doesn't make her a bad teacher. I worked hard and I got a grade that shows it.

I've taken 2 classes with her before, and as long as you are okay with basically teaching yourself, its fine. I got an A in both. God forbid if you need help with something though. She doesn't have voicemail or office hours, and you can email her for WEEKS without getting a response. Her courses are basically fine but might as well be teacher-less.

i just took this class this summer. the analysis was hard but she was very helpful when i asked for help with it. she's strict and she doesn't like when someone tries to cheat, she catches them. i liked the class. it was a lot of stuff to learn in 4 weeks but she did a good job. im going to take another class with her this fall.

Heisel was great I don't get it. 300 words is about one page typed and double spaced. If she said 500 words, that's a little more than 1 page. They use word counts all the time in english. Does getting a 2 page assignment sound easier than getting a 500 word assignment? It's the same thing! Why are you making it so hard?

This was NOT an easy course and I had to stay on top of the deadlines, but she could see everything I did with my group because it's all online. I didn't do good with the first assignment, but I did a lot better when I really did the work. I bet that person who wrote that she's a bad teacher failed the class. It's your fault if you did. I didn't.

I think she's awesome! She's very fair and objective! If you do the work, you do okay. If you don't, then you fail and who's fault is that? Not hers! Org Com has a lot of theory. It's not easy. But it's a lot easier to blame the teacher than to admit that you didn't do anything all semester but check your facebook.
