Comment:

She expects you to know everything in math up to calculus 3 and will call you stupid in front of the entire class for asking good questions ("Asking about a hard integral is a stupid question because it is a calc 2 question"). Only has homework and exams with random pop quizzes for grades. She is always late to class. Rather unfriendly.

Great professor, would highly recommend for the fast pace learners out there. With that said, she is fairly brisk and expects you to do the homework to understand what is going on during the lecture. She'll even go over any problem/s you wish. Do the homework she assigns from the book, though it's not for credit, and you will pass no problem.

Comment:

Great Teacher, one of the best that I have had. Most of the difficulty came from the subject (Real Analysis), rather than her teaching style. She made it easy to see how the subject fit into mathematics more broadly.

Terrible. A below average instructor and an unreasonable grader. Every test graded on a 4.0 scale and NO PARTIAL CREDIT. If you don't have 20 hrs a week to spend on this class than DO NOT TAKE under any circumstances. If she's you only one taking the class you need, then petition the department to let you take another class to fulfill the req.

Prof. Goldstein does not seem interested in teaching. She is very competent in the subject, but does not have the teaching skills to present the material in a learnable fashion. Towards the end she got behind and rushed through, which did not help anyone. Stay away if you don't like math and need step by step instructions on how to do work.

She is about 10 minutes late to class every day. She dresses crazy. She spends too much time explaining unnecessary things so we got behind on the syllabus about the second day of class. If you don't already have some knowledge of calculus this class will be very hard for you. The only grades come from 4 tests (lowest gets dropped) and the final.

Oh, poor Mrs Goldstein! She, truthfully, tries very hard, but this IS a sort of math logic course--painful on the brain. Do not believe anyone telling you this is an easy math. She gets confused OFTEN when explaining in class, but that's logic. Attendance isn't necessary. The only grades are four tests throughout the course, and you can drop one.

She was late for every class which sent the message that she did not care about the class. She did not make herself very available outside of class, her lectures are very hard to follow and not helpful. The worst part is that she gives no credit for homework or attendance, only grades are tests-for someone like me who hates math, it was terrible!!

This lady only gives tests, she does not teach she just works problems all day everyday she is late and everyday she is dressed very cute but the math help is not there and seems not to care about anything. She will not help and just right on the board all class she is very confusing and you should not take her if you do not get math 100% already

This teacher CANNOT TEACH. SHE IS VERY DISCOURAGING. WHILE TEACHING SHE TALKS TOWARD THE BOARD AND OFTEN TIMES HER COMPUTATIONS ARE WRONG!SHE FAILED TWENTY OF MAYBE THIRTY STUDENTS. SHE DOES NOT ALLOW ANY CALCULATORS ON ANY OF HER TESTS AND THE TESTS ALWAYS HAVE MULTIPLE PARTS.SHE MADE THE CLASS MUCH HARDER THAN IT HAD TO BE!

Well I tried several times seeing her after class to get help. She was always ready to go and wanted to only teach the class. Referring me to the tutoring lab-Which I had gone to but felt no better after doing so. Calculus is hard! And she was just ready to go shopping or something. My grade didn't matter to her.
