THIS CLASS SUCKED. I had actually taken trig-based physics from this guy before so I actually had previous experience with him. Even with that, in Calc-Based physics it was UNREAL the amount of homework we had to do. Many very bright students who studied ALL THE TIME could BARELY do the homework and often failed the tests...

The class is really hard, which its physics so duh. But this guy has the worst reputation in the department. Something to be when the tutors are giving you their condolences. However, if you do have to take him; DO THE EXTRA CREDIT WORK!! As far as the material, use the textbook cause his lectures are dry, and were not very helpful.

Physics is a very difficult subject. Your math skills have to be on point. I haven't been in school in almost 10 years and had to work very hard! (summer) The homework is insane, it can take up to 9 hours for some chapters. You have to study a lot and teach yourself some. Be prepared and read the chapters before class! He is a great professor!

I had to put a lot of hard work to get a A in this class. If you don't love the physical aspect of science then I wouldn't take this class. IT IS NOT AN EASY A. Attending lecture is necessary because he uses his own definitions for the test, not the definitions out of the book. Memorize laws and principles it will most likely be his short answer.

Definitely a class you can make an A but you have to put in the work. There is online homework as well as lab reports. Do the assignments honestly. Practice the problems he does in class, especially the problems not from the book. Tests should be relatively easy if you know how to do the problems from the lectures. Gives extra credit.

Main issues are he gives WAY too many assignments to the point it's hard to find time to actually study, and he is the world's most nitpicky grader. Labs lack clear instructions. His grading scale makes it easy to pass, though. Attendance alone is 7.5%. HW is 15%. Make sure to take notes on any problems he does that aren't directly from the book.

Do well on homework, go to classes and do extra credit. Go to office hours for help. If he sees that you are trying you will pass. I have trouble with math and had a hard time with the exams but he saw my effort and I passed.

Lectures are usually straight from the book, but he usually has one or two specific examples not from the book that will be on the test so pay attention. Once you figure out what he's looking for on labs and tests, the class gets easier. Physics is hard in general so prepare to put in the work if you want a good grade.

I honestly don't know why he has gotten so many awful reviews. Yes the class is very boring, but he's a super nice guy. The workload isn't bad at all, especially for a summer class on top of being in 3 other classes as well. Just study the notes and read over the chapters if you need clarification. Super easy class!

He isn't very entertaining but he is passionate about subject and does throw a few jokes in. I had him for a 5wk course and it was very hard but he was willing to answer questions after class and during his office hours. I would take him again but maybe not for a 5wk course, I personally just need more time to study. Study his notes not the book!

Yes, he is dry, but he tries. He does take the time to try to clarify areas. His tests are hard. Matching section is wild! Got confused the first time. Essays are tricky. You have to cover everything he covered on a subject. And your grade, well that is completely on YOU. You want an A, then you will have to work for it. Good luck! Nicest guy.

First off, physics is not easy subject. Attended in the summer, which was extremely difficult because of the lab reports and hw. If you have a solid foundation and math then it will be fine, but be prepared to teach yourself...for real. I learned how to do so taking his class. Even though it sucked, I now have a better capacity to teach myself.

Horrible! Here is my suggestion, don't take him! Even if it is the only spot open for physics do NOT take him. You would think that a physics class would be fun but this guy could make skydiving boring... sap the fun right out of it. If you want to read your book to learn and type crazy lab reports, take this guy.

O.M.G. The WORSE teacher, EVER. You never can predict his grading and there's not enough adderall in the world to help you concentrate on him! His teaching is horrible, I learned more by teaching myself. DO NOT TAKE!!!!

This is the worst teacher I have had. Being that this is my last class ever, I think that says alot. Extremely boring lectures. He prevents the smarter students from moving at their own pace. Takes off points nit picky items on labs and test questions. Avoid this teacher, I repeat, AVOID! Getting an A requires alot work, plus a lot of luck.

Wow! I went against everything read and attempted to take him over the summer because I needed to graduate. I dropped and now my graduation is being pushed back. My GPA is not worth going through this ridiculous class!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Physics is hard...yes, but he is insane! I couldn't pass a test bcuz I was too busy trying to do lab work & HW

Leon's class is a time consuming class if you're going for a B lucky if A.Hours will be spent doing labs and homework just for passing. You need to have medium or easy classes to make possible. He's strict get an 89 its a B.He doesnt care if people talk in class. He wont stick his neck out! Good labs but won't do hard problems just easy probs. Lazy!!

This was hands down the worst class I have ever taken in my life. HIs teaching method consisted of doing problems on the board that the book already went through. Very boring, and a three hour class. He was generous with curving tests though, and labs were alright.

The good thing is that he will try and make sure you have a passing grade in the class (C or higher) and helpful on the labs. The bad thing is that he lecture so long that more than likely, you won't even care what he says and probably study the book and pray to your god that his tests is easy or just study for the final sine he will switch %'s.
