Comment:

She does an amazing job of teaching a difficult subject but she explains things to make it easy to understand. There is a lot of hw but it's necessary to understand the material and doesn't take long. The biggest thing is that you have to go to class, missing even one lecture will make you feel behind just b/c the material builds off each other.

Comment:

I have never reviewed a professor, but I feel as though she is worthy. One of the sweetest, most genuine professors you will come across. Offers bonus that is applied to exams to give you a little motivation to study early. Tests are pretty difficult and do require you to study, of course it is o-chem. She loves for students to come to her office.

Ms. Carpenter is truly the best professor I have ever had! I took her for OChem 1 & 2 and although she expects a lot from her students, the class was wonderful. Her passion for organic chemistry is so evident and she is truly brilliant--but just know that her tests will really require you to know your stuff! 10/10 an amazing teacher!

Dr. Carpenter is awesome. Her exams are hard because you have to earn every single point out of 100. it's not bad if you've done OWL and looked over your notes. It's an easy class, you actually have to study.

A star teacher! She is the best teacher ever. Took her for Org 1&2 and Im seriously gonna miss having her! Her teaching style made a class thats definitely tough easy to understand. She knows the material very well, so when she teaches it she gives us information that would take hours to study on your own. She knows what students struggle with

Very tough grader on exams. Exams are difficult, need to prep well in advance before taking them. This class will require daily practice. Her lecture felt rather rushed, but she's a good professor if you're more well-adept in organic chem. Be warned though, her exams are no joke. I'm repeating this now. She's a very sweet person and great at explaining the examples she goes over in class. However, her exams are MUCH harder than the examples gone over in lecture, and she's a very tough grader. One problem may be worth 16 points on its own. She tries to trick you with complicated problems and "special" situations that violate the general rules.

Ms. Carpenter is a great organic chemistry professor. She's very clear in what she expects of her students. It's a tough subject, but she does a great job teaching the material. She is so sweet and truly cares for her students' success in the course. Would definitely take again!

She is is very nice, her classes are tough, but after this class I can freaking read some MNR's and Spectrostroscopy. Even better- her supplemental instruction- I had Burroughs, so my lecture was great, but others were listening to her like it was oxygen since other professors don't always break it down as clearly.

Ms. Carpenter is awesome. She makes you want to learn Organic. It's not a difficult class at all. I am not a Chem. major either and I still did very good. Her tests aren't that hard. She goes more than beyond o help you with TONS of extra credit, which makes it easy to do well.

Very helpful, crystal clear explanations, funny, and still enthusiastic about chemistry. She has been doing this for a long time and has teaching chemistry down to an art. If you get the chance, take her, but be prepared to study for her exams, they're not easy but its isn't an easy subject.

Mrs. Carpenter is a very sweet lady. Never had her for lecture, but for lab she was awesome. You will have to work hard, but she is very laid back and understanding when you need help. Very good at explaining things. Midterm and final lab exams were hard, and I'm not sure how I got an A, but I'm happy.

Amazing! I love her class so much! If you have the chance to take her DO IT! She explains the material very well and always helps you if you don't get it! You have to STUDY! A LOT! Her class is no joke. She wants her students to do well and if you study the proper amount of time, you will make an A no problem!
