Comment:

I had him for Micro Summer course '10. He has a point system out of 100 and 900 equals an A. I got a B in the course. I have to say Micro was a lot easier than Anatomy (that I had with him). There are 3 pp presenations you have to give at the very end. His tests are alsmost always STRAIGHT for his mutiple choice reviews except for two. Loved it!

Comment:

I took him for Anatomy and he gives reviews for all of the test, which I found extremely helpful! You have to be careful though because some of the tests do not come from the reviews. His lab practicals are hard, but he gives reviews for these. I had a B throughout the class up until the very end. It was a hard class! He is a very nice prof.

Comment:

Albin is a great guy, and a good teacher. He wants his students to learn and do well...and gives you every opportunity to do so. If you do your work and study, you will do fine. Micro is not a blow-off class. It's gonna be difficult no matter who you have.

I love Albin. I also had him for anatomy and I think he is a much better teacher for Micro. Anatomy is such a boring subject and I think it just doesn't interest him anymore. He does a great job in Micro. Do all your work and you will do well!

Les Albin knows everything there is to know about anatomy. Down to the finest detail, he can answer any question. But, he seems very burned out on the whole "teaching" thing. So, in class, he just reads his notes. It is boring and completely lacking in any kind of interactivity that might encourage someone to want to learn. Nice guy, though.

Personally, Mr. Albin is really a nice person. However; he is extremely unorganized,boring,read the lecture notes (powerpoint) word for word.I tried my BEST to grasp the information some I did, others I just could not understand. Please it you have another professor you can take no matter where they are located! Take'em.

Mr. Albin is a very nice man but his class was very difficult. Anatomy itself is a hard class but his "teaching" methods did not help much either. He reads the powerpoint slides for lecture word-for-word so it is boring. He does give extra points on his tests which are great but you need it to get an "A" in the class. Just be prepared to work!

Albin is a nice man. His teaching styles are tired and he is horrible at test prep. This subject content is difficult. He does not help at all. It is self-taught. I felt he thought if he gave you guidance to study, he was "giving" you the test, but that was not true. You can teach and guide without giving away test content.

Les is a great person but when it comes to teaching... he is just not organized. His tests are so confusing it seems like you study your butt off and none of it is on the test. He has not structure to his labs. To pass this class do all the homework, expect the unexpected, and come to class everyday and he will give you extra credit

Les was very helpful and will do everything to help you pass. The first test was very hard but the rest were fairly easy. Its easy to make an A in this class, just do all the homeworks, the case study, identify lab unknowns and do the poster presentation. The test accounts for a very small percentage of final graade. GFood luck

Very nice and willing to help if you are serious about the class. He does not give reviews, but the tests aren't hard. He will give extra points if a mistake is pointed out on an exam. He did have a review for the final!! It was almost word for word, and it will replace the lowest test grade. Do homework!

He is SUCH a nice man,and he has been through a lot of personal stuff in the past like i think he had a serious illness,but he doesnt give any reviews or anything for his test.its not clear as to what to expect.our final was over 3 chs. ONE of which he covered,we had to do the rest on our own.he doesnt give good lectures either.but hes willing 2 h

Although he is nice, im not too sure this guy knows what he's talking about most of the time. It's easier to stay awake reading the text. Lecture is ok- i can drone him out and do my homework for the next class, but Lab is horrible. There is absolutely no structure, and noone knows what were supposed to be doing.

Take some stimulants before his class, you'll need them to stay awake. The book taught me more. Also every test had major errors, which to his defense, he corrected. I had as many as 20 points added to tests due to errors.
