Everything you need is on her website. Lectures dont really help. You gotta self-teach. Weekly assignments with no specific due date, 2 midterms, 1 quiz, 1 final. If she has a grade in mind for you by the end of the semester and you accept that grade, you cant choose not to take the final.

If you aren't disciplined to actually watch the lectures regularly, do not take this class! I read all the great reviews for this class and it is not as easy as it is made out to be. You really have to put in the work even though it's a hybrid. In class she rarely teaches the material, so if you don't teach yourself well, DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS.

It's a hybrid, so her classes are more like reviews for the lessons you do on our own. She provides a lot of material on her website, so just teach yourself, go to class if you need extra help and you'll get a good grade. She even lets you skip the final if you do well on the previous exams.

Easy A. 10/10 She gives you a link to her website at the beginning of the semester that has her lecture notes, videos, homework, homework solutions and exam help. Her lectures are more like recitation classes. Just watch the videos and do the homework as you go. It helps a lot. 2 exams, final is optional. Easiest class I've taken at baruch.

Professor is great and will make you work for your grade. I did well on the first midterm but not so well on the 2nd midterm and she allowed the class to skip the final for a certain grade which I got a C- on. Do take the final as it made my final grade an A- instead of a C-. Watch the lectures as they are extremely helpful and do the extra credit!

Professor Friedman is a hybrid class, however, there are online youtube videos, excessive notes & powerpoints provided. If you take the time to watch the videos, and actually do the homework you should be golden and more then prepared for the fair tests. The class is far from an easy A, but there are 5 points xtra credit, & she is accessible 2help

If you don't take Professor Friedman for STA2000 you're making a terrible mistake. This woman literally tells you everything you need to do to get an A in her course. Just read the lectures before class, because it is a hybrid, and do the homework assignments, which are super easy. She gives you exam prep and you can opt out of the final. TAKE HER.

When she spent 2 classes talking about THE CONCEPT of "what is simulation" and 4 classes on students' video presentation, I knew this class is gonna be a waste of time a money! Lots of stupid assignments and learned nothing, however a mandatory course!!! Worst professor ever met

Amazing. Easily the best STA professor. 3 midterms I believe, and if you do well enough you can skip the final and get an A. If you're a serious student, that can do well on the not very intense exams, you'll be golden. Love her. Also the only hybrid STA2000 professor I believe.

If you did well in the previous exams. She provided you an offer to skip the final which was really great. I saved the time to study my other final. Please remember to read her notes and videos, it will help you a lot.(Because most her exam questions are from the hw and notes) Trust me!

If you have at least a C by the end of the class, then the final is optional. She is a nice lady who wants students to do well (will count later tests with more weight if you do better). Does not really teach in lecture so I advise to really watch the videos and take notes. Don't buy the book. We didn't use it and it was a waste of money.

STA 2000 with Linda Friedman is a hybrid. She says at the beginning of the course that if you're not self motivated to learn the material ahead of time, you will fail. The class is manageable if you have a study partner for homework or are motivated to learn on your own. She's also hilarious and tells a lot of Jewish jokes.

She is absolutely horrendous. I had her for the Fall 2016 semester and I failed because of her stupid exams. She's such a hypocrite as well. She told us we won't need to certain words to define and the test had define words. I ended up getting an F! Recommended teacher for STA 2000 instead of her, Professor Junyi Zhang

take her if you can! she let's you skip the final if you do well enough/show her you know your stuff. her lectures are clear enough if you aren't on facebook 90% of the class. gives solutions to the hw to help you along if you're stuck. do all the exercises and pay attention in class if you wanna pass!!

Awful. This class is a hybrid which means you have to be prepared to learn the information from the resources this professor makes available online. The problem is that they don't prepare you for her tests at all. And her tests will determine your entire grade. Do yourself a favor and don't take this class.

She is an easy professor if you know the material and can study on your own. In my opinion, she is not good at teaching but she made everything super clear. She post all the slides, hws, and review questions since day one. Exams are easy as long as you can do all the questions on HW.

AT THE END OF THE SEMESTER GIVES YOU AN ESTIMATED GRADE WITH AN OPTION TO SKIP THE FINAL. Hybrid. Minimal work required, but without doing it it's unlikely for the best grade. Advanced material but explains it clearly and gives you many resources. Gotta work for it, but it's possible to do well. Not an easy A.

I took a hybrid course so attendance was not necessary and the lectures were mostly going over questions that students had. Her homeworks are helpful and super easy. She had other things such as blackboard discussions that are basically a ton of free points. Her tests are super easy, I studied for 1-2 hours for each test and got A on all of them.

Honestly, you should take her if you're good at teaching yourself the material, because she gives you all her notes online along with other helpful resources. If you like your grade after the two midterms and quiz, then you exempt yourself from the final. She doesn't use homework to calculate your exemption grade, only the tests and quizzes.

One Word.. SKIP!!! If you are a good test taker this is the class for you, but if you dont do well on every test there is NO WAY to get a better grade! Homeworks, extra credit etc. Will not help you
