The reviews below only account for most of the students that didn't study. The class is challenging but he is an extremely lenient guy. He tries to help out as much as possible with extra sessions and even extends almost every deadline he has. He gives you partial credit for most of the tests even if you dont get the answer. Hes a super sweet guy!

HORRIBLE TEACHER. don't take whatever you do. he doesn't teach at all and has no idea about accouting. tests are extremely hard and confusing. tests averages are in the 60s and he thinks thats a good grade. expects you to get a 2.3. also, don't tell him if your not an accounting major because then he wont care. DONT TAKE HIM.

He has no background in Accounting and does not prep you at all for Exams. every once in a while he will read from the book but nothing more. his class average was in the 60's on the first exam and he said he didnt care that that made him look bad.

class is boring but if you can make yourself pay attention, his test questions come right from his lectures. excel assignments and quizzes are easy. weights the things you do well on more. really wants students to do well. if you think you can actually pay attention in class and take notes, then take him.

I just copied the one below because it's dead on... Class time is pretty boring (full of irrelevant examples) but he doesn't take attendance and allows computer use. Quizzes and excel assignments are easy, tests weren't bad. Compared to what I've heard about most 203 teachers, he's not that bad. Take him to get this class over with.

Very nice man, loves what he teaches! quizes are hard but he curves them all. I recomend this class. You may feel like your doing bad, but youll end up doing great!

This is the worst class i have ever taken. Even after the class failed a quiz 2 times in a row, he refused to go over the material and told the 40 person class that we should go see him individually. He tried to teach us binary in less than a minute but when on for over a minute about what a character is eg 1,2,a,b. Avoid this class at all costs!

Comment:

Prof. Linderman is a great man as he cares a lot for his students. He gives out useful and up-to-date IT Auditing information to the class. Although he reads out from his slides directly, and gives out long quizzes, he's an easy grader as he knows you have tried your best to finish his tests! He is very helpful in giving you IT career advice.

Pretty boring class, but doesn't take attendance, so you can really skip if you read the chapters. Doesn't give you a syllabus, and you really couldn't be sure of your grade, but wants students to do well, so weights the things you do better on more. Really boring class, but it's required, so not a bad professor to get it over with.

Worst teacher that I've ever had. He does not have a syllabus and just rambles on in class. We had to do a project on landscaping which did not relate to the course whatsoever! Absolutely terrible teacher!

He is a strange guy but he is enthusiastic and likes what he teaches. lets u call at home with questions, haha. overall very nice, willing to help all the time, even on exams. just a bit on the boring side at times, maybe coz i fell asleep taking the class at 5pm.

he never exactly told us how he graded, but if you do well on something it will count more then doing poorly on something. I came to his office hours and he seemed annoyed that I was there. he is very unclear. his tests and quizzzes are rediculous unless you have learned the information beforehand. if possible avoid this man. he's kinda creepy too.

Linderman is definitely a strange guy, but he is also very interested in the subject, and it kind of catches on. He is very enthusiastic and goes over things as many times as need be, and he is a fairly lenient grader. If you have a good reason for you answer, he will give credit. Tests are very hard, but studying will get you a 3.3 or above.

Lectures in class all the time. Goes over assignments step by step, which is pretty unnecessary given their ease. Exams are a little tough, but are taken straight from class discussion. Show up for class and take notes, and you'll do well.

Good teacher and good guy but an unfair grader. I had a 94.7 and he wouldn't give me the 4.0.
