Comment:

This professor was actually awful. She rushed through material, messed up on LOTS of problems. She also taught us HER way, if you did something other than her way on the test, you were docked points. She told us that her class is really hard to pass and assigned unmanageable amounts of hw. I DO NOT recommend this professor AT ALL.

Comment:

She's the most wonderful teacher I've had. She gives homework and reviews the problems in class. She gives you a take home test that looks like the test but with different numbers. Show up, do the homework and you'll be fine. She really wants her students to succeed.

This Professor teaches well and I get the material she teaches but, she belittles students when they ask questions as well and she calls you out when you don't write down the material too. She also calls you out when you have to leave early along with if your on your phone or quietly talking...... This is college not high school......

My grades: Math 60"A." Math 110 "D"(Partaine). Math "C"(Struggled because I didnt learn enough concepts in 110). Math 135 "A"(Ron Ito). Everything said about her is true & more. If you take her for an 8 wk course you will struggle horribly. She might know math in her head but cannot speak math or get it onto the white board correctly. Good luck

Comment:

There are worse math teachers out there, she's not necessarily bad but also not good. With effort you will pass the class, she doesn't explain the math as much as she just writes it on the board. Most of the time you're teaching yourself the math when you go to do the homework, she could not hear us so it made it impossible to ask questions.

Unorganized, blasts through lectures with power points prepared by someone else, didn't inform the book store to carry the book, frequently disagrees with the text, lacks clarity - assumes you already know. Zone out during lecture and learn on your own.

Horrible professor. She makes mistakes CONSTANTLY which is totally confusing! She teaches you everything her way! She will show you step by step how to get the wrong answer, and then briefly show you how to get the right answer! confusing right? She grades EXTREMELY hard. She seems to not know anything about math! I highly suggest not taking her!

This woman is useless as a teacher. Do not take her course if you need help learning anything. Nice enough lady, but does not help the students understand basic concepts to do the work. She's also extremely flaky. Says one thing then does another. You can teach yourself more about math if you Google the equation and read the textbook.

Enough with the negative comments! Professor Partaine is honestly one of the best math teachers I have ever had. She cares! You just have to show her that you care as well. She will do the best she could to make sure students understand the material especially before a test. If she taught math 110 I would take it in a heartbeat.

You will read it over and over in her reviews and it's true: She assumes everybody has covered the material before, which wasn't the case for me. I spent the entire time confused. If you arent familar with the material already, take a different professor.

She is absolutely horrible. She likes things done a certain way. She does not promote creative thinking and problem solving. She is, without a doubt, the worst math teacher I've had on any level. Stay away for your own good.

I would ake her again. Homework is a must. She is always there before and after class so if youre havig trouble, you just hae to ask for help. My only complaint is that sometimes the tests seemed harder than material on homework.

Mrs. Partaine was the most inconsistent and unwilling teacher I have ever met her teaching was lecture style but she expected us to know it with out any teaching prior more than half the class has dropped already and the rest have Ds and Fs by far the worst teaching I have seen at the college level.

Partaine's 'teaching' was actually so incompetent and hostile that my fellow classmates actually began to sign a petition to express these concerns to the Dean. Do not take her class.

I personally liked Ms. Partaine as a teacher. She took the time to make sure we understood what she went over in class. She allowed us to ask as many questions as we liked and had an open door policy for any additional help we needed. She genuinely cares about her students and is a very approachable teacher.

WORS math professor i have ever had by far. The only reason i passed this class is because i had a personal tutor the hole time teaching me. All she does is goes over power points and assumes you know most of the material. I would never recommend her. The book she uses is useless . her test are extremely long, she does not give enough time.

Many students like to refer to their current least favorite teacher as the worst one they have ever taken; but, please believe me when I say this: Partaine is honestly, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the worst teacher I have ever seen in my entire academic career. Stay away from her like the plague.

Partaine is flat out the worst choice for a math professor. She speeds through sections and gets frustrated with students who ask questions or need more help. She assigns online homework and doesn't even know what is on it; it always has material she never covered. Very mean and unhelpful. Do NOT take her EVER!
