Okay this is coming from someone who loves chem, but I really enjoyed her class! It was pretty tough, but she really cares about her students. It is all test grades. She goes out of her way to make sure the questions are the same format as the book and cafe questions. Lectures are fast-paced. There is a nice curve at the end.

Dr. Dollinger is ONE OF THE BEST CHEMISTRY PROFESSORS AT U OF A. UA Chem is lucky to have such a great professor teaching Ochem1/2. She is VERY thorough with the material and holds weekly review sessions in addition to O.H. & cafe. Anyone that rated her low probably didn't put in work and thought the A was going to be handed to them!Orgo isnt easy!

Use Dollinger outside of class if you can't keep up with her during her lectures. I stopped going to office hours though because she was sometimes condescending towards students so it makes it harder for us to become motivated in the class. Big curve at the end of the class. Only grades are exams.

Dollinger is an awesome professor. I would take o chem with her (as I've heard bad things about other professors). I recommend going to office hours and doing extra class problems, book problems, o cafe problems, and practice exams. O chem won't be easy if you're not willing to put effort into it outside of class.

A great professor for Organic Chemistry. I had her for the Honors section. 90% of the class grade was made up of tests. There are 4 Exams, 1 is dropped, each is 20%. The final is 30%. Go to class and take great notes. Make reagent and reaction flashcards! Do practice exams and textbook problems as soon as possible too. Lectures are on Panopto.

Dollinger is a great professor, but she is hard. She moves very quickly in lecture, so it is really best to read ahead int he textbook if possible before attending class. She holds out of office times to ask questions, and go over practise problems which is nice. Organic Chem is a tough subject; should be prioritized because it takes a lot of time

I really enjoyed her teaching style. She made everything super clear in class and encouraged her students to ask questions if they were confused. The material is extremely difficult, though, and you are only graded on 4 exams (lowest dropped) and the final. Her tests are based on the practice problems in OCafe and old exams, study those for sure.

Dollinger is one of the WORST professors at the U of A. She is so excelled in he field that she forgets that her students are not also chemists. Her tests are extremely difficult and impossible to pass. She truly doesn't want anyone to succeed in the medication field. If you fail this class, don't hesitate to think you're smart!

Dollinger is one of the best professors I've had at U of A. She is VERY knowledgeable and you can tell that she actually WANTS you to learn. I've had professors that will literally read verbatim off of a power point for lectures, but Dollinger goes in depth and thoroughly explains concepts. 1000% recommend

Such an amazing and caring professor. Organic Chemistry is a difficult subject, but Dr. Dollinger makes it so fun and so interesting. Her lectures are AMAZING! Best out of anyone at UA - gives very organized and structured notes. Lots of study material and old exams, she cares about each student understanding the material! Take her if you can.

Best organic chemistry professor ever, super knowledgeable and fantastic lectures really makes you love the material; definitely not as hard as people make her class out to be. Know your stuff and you'll get an A. Every exam administered was 100% fair

I took her for both semesters of organic chemistry. I ended with an A, but it was EXTREMELY HARD TO DO SO, BUT NOT IMPOSSIBLE. Your grade is basically exams. To study I did the organic cafe and the problems she posted on d2l several times. I would just keep doing the worksheets over and over. I would understand and memorize. It a lot of material.

She is a great teacher and I would 100% take her again. She moved fast through the material, but mostly because there was a lot to cover. The tests were hard and long for the amount of time we had (50 min) and I thought they were graded fairly, but if you have a problem with it she is more than willing to explain the grade in office hours.

One of the best professors I have had. This class is hard as it is, but you have to put in the work and she gives you so many opportunities to succeed. Very easy to talk to and get help from. I recommend doing both semesters of OCHEM with her if possible. Kind of difficult to changing teaching styles going to second semester.

Fantastic! The absolute best chemistry teacher I've ever had, completely clear about what you need to know and what will be on the exam. The class is tough no matter what but she gives TONS of study material and is always more than willing to help anyone who asks. Super kind and wonderful!

Decent introduction to the material in each chapter but not much detail. Make sure you do as many practice problems outside of class as possible, and review her old exams. Dr. Dollinger does hold a fair amount of office hours, and responds to emails relatively quickly, which helps for clarifying questions about topics covered in class.

Dollinger's class is very hard in the fact that your grade is based solely on tests (which are known to be difficult). I did above average for all the tests and exams and finished with a 75 without a curve. Apparently if there was a curve, it was not that large as my final adjusted grade was still a C. Do not bet on the curve, and study to do well

Dollinger makes the material seem easy, but her exams are always difficult and a surprise. You definitely need to put in a lot of time outside class (do all the book problems and organic cafe) to succeed, and even then you may not succeed if you don't have a good memory. She's very nice and her preceptors are great, but it's a hard class for sure.

Does not provide clear material or guides. Tests come at a huge surprise with material that is not discussed adequately in the reading material or lecture.
