She is kind, patient and understanding. We had group presentations, and she went around to each group and found something nice to say to everyone. All of her slides are available online for review and she posts study guides. I personally just read through the textbook chapters and did well in this class. A solid choice. No complaints.

Very kind and helpful. Lectures are interesting bc she makes it fun. Exams are fair as longest you do the study guides and attend lectures since its more based on lecture notes. Attend office hours just to sit with her to talk about anything and ask any questions you may have. Lab quizzes are easy/fair. Honesty the best Bio professor at Foothill.

Professor Schultheis is one of the kindest and most knowledgeable biology professors I have had! Her lectures are engaging, and I enjoy how she makes connections between the course content and real life. Yes, her exams are challenging, but you will be well-prepared if you stay on top of the material and understand the textbook concepts.

Attend her lectures and take good notes. If you study off of those (without textbook), you'll do great on exams. I'm surprised her level of difficulty is so low here! Her exams are not that easy, but she gives out really helpful study guides. Attendance matters, so be prepared to come to almost every lecture and lab. The materials are very fun!

One of the BEST teacher's! She really cares about her students. Her lab practicals are exactly what we do in lab, no surprises, her exams are moderate and based off of lectures and exactly what is in the text. She says she doesnt curve but she ended up curving the final and boosted everyones grades by 10%! Also provides extra credit opportunities.

I really enjoyed this course and had a really good experience throughout the quarter. Professor Schultheis went above and beyond to make the class interesting. She gives the class study guides, but I recommend studying both the study guides and your lecture notes for the exams because some not everything is included in the study guides.

She's a very patient person which makes it easy to ask questions. One hour tests except the final but it should be enough if you've studied. Labs are easy, you always work with other people. Lectures are heavy but informative sometimes a little confusing since she gets carried away with certain topics. There are two field trips at the end. :)

Lisa is the sweetest professor I've had at foothill. If you enjoy learning about details of plants and animals and you're good at memorizing, you'll do well. Actually take good notes, READ THE BOOK, do her study guides by knowing how to answer them WITHOUT looking at your answers and you're set. Wish all STEM teachers were like this.

Lisa is one of the best biology teachers here at Foothill. She is very passionate in the subject and it truly shows. She's very approachable and friendly! I always looked forward to going to her class. She does everything in her ability to help you get a good grade in her class! With that said, her exams are not easy, but they are fair. Take her!!!

She's the best professor I've had. A sweet and kind woman who always smile and willing to help. Her lectures were great. She definitely knew what she was doing and expecting from students. She speaks a little fast but that shows her passion. You don't have to read the whole book to get an A because her notes cover almost everything important.

This woman is always smiling, and it was nice to have a professor who knew what they were teaching. She cares about her students, and is passionate about what she does. Study hard!

Very sweet person. Her class isnt impossible, but you MUST put in the effort. Her lectures and detailed and lengthy, but it seems like its never enough for the exams. She is fair, but exams are DIFFICULT. Study guides help, but they pretty much cover everything, so in other words, MEMORIZE everything. Lab is easy though!

Class was not easy. To study, I highly recommend using the study guides she posts because a majority of the topics are what are on tests! Study hard and good results will follow. :) Aside from the class, she's always willing to help outside of class and explains things clearly in lecture & lab!

Thought I'd offer a more recent review for her 1C class. Extremely tedious, memorization-heavy material (although not her fault) and while she is very friendly, her tests are quite challenging and she is not afraid to dock you points if you aren't DEAD on and approaching overachieving. Had to curve first midterm. If you want an A, try another prof

Amazing Professor! Has such a passion for biology and makes the class and lecture very interesting! She is an extremely fair grader and tester. The tests require a lot of studying but she gives out a very useful study guide. Final exam is much easier than the 3 midterms. If you have to take biology i would definitely recommend her!!

Highlymotivated teacher who loves bio & fair. Want an A? Study everything she lectures, powerpoints, especially the notes she writes on the projector.Maxout quizzes.Do study guides.Use book only to reinforce material you don't get. Show-up cuz you need 75% clicker participation points. I hated how organized, every-minute was timed and used exactly

When I took bio in high school I received a 'C', but when I took it with Lisa I gained more interest in it and passed with an 'A'. Part of the reason why I passed was because she is really organized and doesn't test you on material she didn't cover. It's good to have a study group for this class because there are online questions too.

Very energetic teacher!!! We had plenty of material to do including lab, 3 exams, quizzes which is hard to keep up with. As long as you are coming in for lecture to get your points and lab and do your work you won't get lower than a B.

Had her fall quarter and I really enjoyed her class! You can tell she really enjoys what she does. The lectures were all very clear and easy to follow and the labs were not too bad either. There is one fieldtrip during the quarter that you will have to plan accordingly for. Just make sure you put in the necessary work and you should be fine.
