Comment:

Great professor. Material is difficult but actually listen to her in class and you will get it. Ask for help, she will help you as long as she knows you are trying in her class. She has used the material she is teaching first hand, so she will tell you exactly what to do and how to do it.

Comment:

Most difficult class and professor I've had. But her class is so interesting and makes you look forward to going. Forces you to read the chapters by quizzing on the content before she even teaches it. When going over the KTEA, write down every single thing she says or you will regret it. Don't procrastinate or slack. Get on her good side and you're golden. Love her.. Favorite professor at Clarion.

Dr. Turner was a great prof! I took my first web class with her and I was skeptical that I would not learn much at all, but I learned a lot actaully. I like that she posted everything (including the final exam) on-line so that we could work at our own pace, we jsut had to turn in the specified assignments by Friday's at 11:59pm. Great class!

If you want to actually learn the material take this professor. She is harsh but she means business. She wants you to actually learn the material and have it be useful to you. Do what you are supposed to do and you won't have any problems.

I had her for a webclass. I emailed her three different times over the course of the three-week class, and never received a response. Her requirements are far too much for the length of the presession classtime. Do NOT take her if you actually want to learn something about special education. The only thing I've learned is that she's unreliable.

At first I didn't know how to take Dr. Turner. She can come off as a mean person, but she is not at all. She is helpful and understanding IF you are doing your work and making a genuine effort. I learned a lot in her class.

i still have mixed feelings on her. she thinks she is right about everything because of her vast amount of experience. and she does cram alot of information down your throat. but its all because she wants you to be prepared. i didnt do the study guides for a whole 5 bonus points tho, it seemed like a waste of time. she grows on you over time

Amazing Professor! She is very smart and knows almost everything about special education a person could know. She can be intimidating and she hates slackers. Do not be late to class and don't miss class unless you have a very good reason. Work hard and listen carefully and you will do fine. She's really funny and nice once you get to know her.

Dr. Turner is an amazing woman who knows her sped. ed. like the back of her hand. I wish she could teach every class! Her expecatations are high, and she expects you to perform - and you will be glad she does. When you finish with her class, you realize how much you have learned. Amazing Professor!
