Beck is a very interesting prof. and he made class fun but if you are not a good test taker you probably will not do well. 90% of your grade is tests and the other 10% is online quizzes. Im normally and A student and I ended with a B. Hilarious lectures though.

What a hunk. Just his presence alone makes lecture worthwhile. He gave me a D, but I'll take it. He's a great professor, with even greater hair. His lecture on Freud was awe inspiring.

This was my second go around for PSY 201 with Prof Beck, as I wanted to achieve a better grade. If you take a class with Prof Beck more than once, he will be sure to message you about seeing improvement in your writing. He also makes directions clear. There are 2 written assignments, 1 discussion post and a quiz weekly. Prof Becka go to for PSY201

Dr. Beck is an amazing Professor. He lectures during the entire class, take good notes and record if necessary. You have to read the chapters, do weekly homework assignments online and take in class exams. You have to earn your grade, if you do not study or show up for class you will fail yourself. He is caring and will tutor you if you need help.

I took Dr. Beck my first year of college. He truly set the bar high as far as my expectations with lecture classes being enjoyable. In-class discussions were enjoyable; you had fun while actually learning a lot. He has a lot of funny stories and anecdotes to explain certain concepts to us. He's also a very easy to talk with if you need help.

i personally really liked Beck. DO NOT use cellphone in class, he will go OFF. genuinely very knowledgeable. if you go to class, take notes and study you will pass. drops lowest quiz grade and has one take home quiz. overall i really liked this class, used real life examples, pretty funny. if you do what you need to do there shouldnt be a problem.

Personally I love Dr. Beck. You can tell that he both thoroughly understands and loves the material that he teaches. Dr. Beck's lectures are always interesting. Even though the tests are pretty tough, if you study hard and ask questions during class, you should be okay. Bottom line : if you care , he cares.

I have heard he is a good on ground teacher. However, horrible online teacher, unrealistic expectations and hands out zero's like it's nothing. Many people warned me but I didn't listen-regretting it. What a waste of money this class was.

Tests can be long and difficult and the questions can be oddly worded, and he doesn't believe in makeups, but he drops the lowest test score so it's not the absolute end of the world. He definitely knows his stuff and the lectures are usually pretty interesting. Be prepared to take notes and study a lot.

Dr beck was a great teacher. I would highly recommend him as a teacher if you are willing to take the time to study and show up to class and take notes. His test can be very challenging but if you study you would be fine. By taking his class you will most likely leave the class and have actually learned something and retain it.

Absolutely wonderful professor & person. His classes are always interesting and fun and make you want to learn! I wouldn't consider taking a class with a different psych. teacher! He cares about his students wellbeing, and knows when something's up. A lot of material is presented very quickly so keeping up is VITAL! The tests can be tricky though!!

You will do well if you study. Also, he doesn't give a lot of homework which is nice but also means your entire grade depends on your tests. I was a little frustrated because during the lectures he would go off on tangents and kept making sexual jokes with the boys, but overall seemed like a nice person who knows a lot about the subject

Dr. Beck is the kind of guy you want to go fishing with. Drink some beers smoke a doob and pick his brain for hours. He always makes sure the whole class is involved and up to speed. His teaching method makes me like school.. Or at least until I go to my other class. He keeps class interesting and funny and makes associations you will never forget.

Best teacher I have ever had. Dr. Beck puts things into a perspective you will understand. Although his class is not easy and you have to put the work in, it is worth it to take. You learn a lot and he makes it very interesting. This has been my favorite class in my years of going part time to Northwestern.

Bob Beck is a god! He is funny and witty. But most important he keeps you intrested in the topics that he is discussing. He gives hard test which are combined from the textbook and in class information. But all and all good professor, and a great guy. I wish I could take his class again!
