She's a lovely lady. Super sweet and nice. The lecture was kinda boring tho. She waited for a long time for students to answer questions, so I thought the lecture pace could've been faster. It's really hard to get above 90. Understanding all the concepts learned is NOT enough, and you really need to have the "question answering skills" to do well.

Has a bit of an accent, but you'll get used to it quickly. Strongly suggest you do the online reading because it really does help you understand things more efficiently in class. Content heavy, so make sure you keep on top of your studying! Going to class is occasionally helpful, but definitely not necessary. Do the practice problems! They help!

Her accent isn't a problem and the course material itself isn't that difficult, they are just REALLY tough markers and super picky. I went to her office hours to talk about marks lost on the midterm and for a few questions she said she'd give me the marks, so I went for a regrade. She didn't give me all the marks back like she said, don't trust her

Her slides are great since she makes it clear what is to be expected by going over Learning Obejctives. You can pretty much not do anything through the sem, study her slides and do all the practice problems and be fine for the midterm/final. Lectures are boring and dry, but clickers are 4%. 200 is bad, but she tries her best to make it interesting

Super nice lady. The lectures can get a bit boring sometimes but she goes through practice questions and her lecture slides pretty much cover the exam material. Overall, pretty good! :)

Lecture's are really dry, but are worth attending. As long as you speak english to a reasonable level the accent isn't a problem. She doesn't do many practice problems in class, and she roasts you if you say something stupid when answering a question. Overall good experience.

Switched classroom format (learn the material online before coming to class). So much information in so many places so its hard to gather all your knowledge. Tutorials are helpful especially for mark boost. Exams are hard. Otherwise, the prof is a very cute and caring lady. I enjoyed her but was still a bit of a confusing teaching format. Av was 73

Very nice lady, and clear once you get past her accent. She tries her best to be clear and make sure that everyone understands her clickers and the slides, although sometimes it feels like she is only lecturing the people in the front row, and ignoring the rest of the class. The midterm/final were a little bit hard but probably not her fault.

Shes a nice little woman with an accent that isnt too hard to understand. Lectures get kinda boring so it doesnt hurt to miss a few. Marking is done by TAs. Textbook not necessary. Midterm was a bit too long with confusing instructions but thats not her fault. Following along with her lecture slides is helpful.

I thought Ljerka was a very charming prof who made learning expectations unbelievably clear in lectures. Tests were not hard as long as you go through her pwp slides, textbook use is not necessary at all. Use the learning outcomes. One of the easiest courses I've taken in my degree, and Ljerka made the lectures very enjoyable!

it is very difficult for her to make her point and is very hard to understand her due to her accent. she makes the class extremely boring and usually half of the class don't show up.she doesn't post her office hours and makes u feel stupid when u ask a question. don't take bio with her if you can.

She whips through her powerpoints. Print them off if you want a chance at keeping up. I found it really difficult to decipher what was going to be on tests and exams from her content. Felt like I was drowning in excess material in this class (but that's probably just the course in general not her fault). She's sweet

She kept the lectures too simple. The information she covered did not reflect the information we needed to know in the depth that we were expected to show on exams. She was unprepared for class. She seemed much more preoccupied with her research than being a professor.

She is such a sweetheart. She focuses on only the material you need to know for the exam, not too much more. She is clear, concise, and tells you exactly what you need to know. Very helpful when you ask her a question. This course focuses on problem solving, not rote memorization, so use the learning objectives. You get a cheat sheet, by the way!

I was a little worried before taking this course with her because of the bad rating but she is actually really nice. Her lectures seem to be really bad for some students whiles it was really effective for me. She does speak a little slow but if you pay attention and seek help out of class, you'll do great. Overall good prof :)
