awesome teacher. keeps the class intresting, very funny guy, testing isnt too hard, a lot of questions would be the same like was on homework just diff numbers. makes it very simple to understand. just attent the class and do homework

Oh my gosh, stay away from this guy!!! When I emailed him with my questions, he seemed annoyed just because they were already discussed in class, and he just assumed that I wasn't paying attention in class. He does NOT drop the lowest test score, nor does he let students retake them. He doesn't even want to know anyone's GPA's! DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!

I honestly have not had a worse teacher. A class that is two hours long, he keeps us for 30 minutes, talks about one point in the chapter, and the rest of the class cracks jokes. There are a total of 4 people in my class that have grades a-c..... meaning the rest of my entire class have grades d,f, and "other" as he wrote it. Do not take this class

Professor Holmes is a terrific teacher. Accounting is definitely not an easy subject, however, he does a great job explaining the material. He also wants to make sure that everyone understands. If you don't understand something, just ask. He encourages questions. He is hilarious and keeps a tedious class interesting!

This teacher is one of my favorite teachers in this school so far, not because he's easy, because he teaches you the material very well and thoroughly. If you attend every class and you read the chapters and do the homework you'll do fine. If you're not really trying tho, you will fail. And I'm not smart, so if I can do it then so can anyone else!

He is interesting. I have never taken any accounting classes in the past and I was a bit confused. He will answer questions if you ask but other than that he just kind of expects you to know things... There is a huge problem that deals with everything you learned at the end of semeter so if you have questions make sure you ask before it is due!

Very Good Teacher! Makes class fun craking jokes all the time. Slows down for the class if they dont understand. Likes when students ask questions so ask a lot of questions if you dont understand and he'll help. Just do what he tells you to do in class and its an Easy A. TWO THUMBS UP!

Great Instructor! He knows the subject, explains it well (with examples) and keeps you awake and involved by making a few jokes in between. You can't ask for any more. Do the homework, and read the chapter before class. You'll do great! He always stops before moving to a new subject to ask if you understand. If you don't, speak up!!!

I CAN'T BELIEVE HIS RATING IS THIS HIGH!! HE WAS TERRRRIBLE!! DO NOT TAKE HIM!!! He's knows the subject well, but he's horrible a teachings it. He forgets that accounting is new to everyone else in the room & teaches as if we should already know it. He makes you feel stupid when you ask questions, and makes nasty jokes!!

Holmes is a great professor! He definitely makes the most dull subject on earth lively! He doesn't waste your time and focuses only on real world issues. BEWARE - He can be pretty crude in his joking. But he'll only rib you if you let him. Taken him for 1810 & 1820, highly reccomended!

Holmes teaches exactly what needs to be learned in certain sections and does not overload you with useless stuff you will never use. Go to class, learn the material, and the tests are almost the same as the questions you do for homework. Great teacher! Learns everyone's names. Has lame jokes but just laugh to make him feel good! hhaha

Mr Holmes is the worst teacher i've met at OCC so far. Spend more than half of class on giving useless information and learning names of every student. The next level of Accounting i'm willing to take with another professor. I would never recomend this teacher to anybody!!!!!
