i got an A in the class but didn't learn anything!! his lectures are a slow boring hell. He'll start on something go forever and then say nevermind, lets start over here instead. Impossible to follow. The last few classes were us literally watching him type and then copy his work to turn in. Very useless class, now idk what i'm doing in 205 :(

Not impressed at all. Went on wild tangents and did not really show the processes involved in writing programs, but instead showed more in-depth stuff that the average person will get lost easily in. Only class that I learned more from the book than my professor. He is, however, very easy on grading.

This class is entirely optional. But it may be helpful if you are completely foreign to computers (where have u been for the last fifteen years?) Prof vaught is understanding and clear. This class seems to be more of a GPA booster than anything else.

this class for me was kind of boring, because i know a bit about computers but it is totally worth it if you actually want to learn the basic of it, he is easy professor knows what he is talking about, and recommendable to others to take just don't lag on your work.

Professor Vaught knows his field like an expert and is an excellent instructor. He teaches with a style that makes a difficult course seem easier to understand. If your still in the dark he's more than willing to meet with you and help you with it! He really cares about his students. Very professional instructor with a lot of experience.

Mr. Vaught is a friendly old chap, but a programmer's worst nightmare. His lectures are hard to follow. He requires you use an assembler from the 80s with a book from 07 meaning more then 60% of what is in the book is unusable do to the fact it was introduced after tasm 2.1. He is an old man stuck in his ways. avoid him if you can.

I found Vaught to be a very easy teacher. If you're a slacker like me, I would recommend him since he doesn't care about attendance and is very leniant on tests. Hint: pay attention to the practice quiz questions. Good luck!

Though the assignments can be tedious and difficult, he tries his best to help you. You just need to be willing to go to the computer lab for his help and he'll be more than happy to help you. Can get distracted in lecture, but stays on topic overall.

Ridiculously easy teacher. Incredibly boring to listen to. If taking, i recommend taking the quiz/test then leaving right after. He often rambles on topic. LOVES to repeat himself a hundred times.

Vaught is boring. And a horrible teacher. Everything I learned from this class was from the book and the book alone. All he does in class is ramble on for an hour about the history of programming...We're supposed to be learning HOW to program, not WHO used to program. Also, VERY strict with his no-talking policy...on-topic or not.
