Comment:

Mr. Watts is a great teacher. I had him for Intro to Sociology. He makes sure you learn the material. He gives us study guides to help. Test are a little tricky unless you really know your material. Also, easy A paper to right and he gives bonus on tests. Excellent teacher! I would recommend him to anyone!

I didn't like him. His test are really hard and his lectures are BORING! I had to teach myself the class because he would ramble on about nothing (mainly race) for an hours.

Comment:

Professor Watts is a terrific professor. His exams are difficult, but that is only because he wants his students to THINK about the material they are to study. Social Theory is a great, essay based course.

Mr. Watts was a good teacher. His tests are hard but if you do the reading and study his handout sheets you will do well. He does not give back tests to review but the midterm and final are not comprehensive. Overall he's a good instructor and has been at UAFS for many years.

Watts is a TERRIFIC teacher. Yes, he is one sided about many things, but also open minded about others and about others opinions. His tests are NOT easy, and you must take good notes and/or read the chapters in your book. Tricky test questions.

OMG I loved him!! I was sad when the class ended. He made everything easy to understand and very interesting!! He has a great sense of humor and friendly. He gives notes which pretty much tell u exactly what is on the test so if u pay attention then u will do great!

Wow, I loved him! I had no idea he was a christian. I don't believe in god, and he never made his religion known. He seemed very liberal and talkative. I learned a lot, and can't wait to take him again.

Some of the comments he made in class were very biased, you can tell that he is a religious man. He's a great story-teller, but it can sometimes be repetitive. Other than that, if you're indifferent about some of his religiously-biased stories and examples, you will like him. He always provided study guides that were extremely helpful on the exams.

Mr. Watts is a devout Christian and is not ashamed of it. So if you have different views than those in the bible, perhaps you'll hate his class. If you're indifferent, you'll love it. He's a sweet man, has alot of knowledge of every aspect of the subject, and his tests are easy to study for since he tells you everything you need to know.

I LOVED THIS CLASS! he made this class so fun! I love listening to him talk and he always has funny stories to tell. He provides reviews for what will be on the test and offers bonus points. He made this my favorite class and i would reccomend him to anyone!

I never cracked my book, and I got an A. I just took notes, esp. of the things he emphasized and the things mentioned in the learning objectives in his outline. That's exactly what was on the tests. Skipping is a bad idea, tho, because you miss the notes. His class is enjoyable, so you won't want to anyway. Just pay attention and you'll do great.

Taking notes alone is enough to get a low b / high c, but if you want an A read the book. He likes to test over material found only in it and uses some sneaky questions on exams. Just read the chapters and you'll do great.

I loved this guys class. Yes, he does seem one sided as far as religious issues go, but I'm on the same page as him, so it all worked out. Makes lectures VERY interesting, has lots of stories, uses students in examples. Tests aren't TOO bad if you study your objectives. Definitely recommend him!
